Hello! We just returned from a trip to WDW and are now planning on returning in 2007! It seems so far away but yet I am still excited and reading the boards daily. I was wondering if anyone would be interested in starting a 2007 thread with me? We could talk about where we are staying, our past trips, how long the new trip is taking to get here, jealousy over people leaving before us :rotfl: etc...... Let me know if anyone would be interested.

Lisa I am always planning my next trip :goodvibes I am going next in January for 7 nights, and we will make our usual trip in Sept 06 for about 4 nights. I think we will probably continue to do this pattern as long as $$$$ allows :rotfl2: I really like going in January for the weather, and that is when we stay 7 nights. 4 nights in Sept is long enough, it is sooo hot. I hope your next trip comes quick for you :)

We're hoping to go in 2007. We'll probably have to go during the summer which I am not looking forward to because I don't do heat well so I'm crossing my fingers we can do 10 days and take things slowly with lots of breaks!

I hope Jan 1 and 2, 07 counts. I will be there Dec 16, 2006 to Jan 2, 2007 so I guess I can say I'm sort of planning a 2007 trip.

We stayed at the WLC. We LOVED our trip but now we are trying to decide where to stay next time. We liked staying concierge but felt like we rarely used the "extras" we were paying for. So we are deciding if we should stay concierge again, try a different deluxe or maybe even try a moderate??? We are thinking of going the first week of November 2007. We have a 5 & 3 year old. If we wait unitl 11/07 the 3 year old will be turning 5 and be able to enjoy/get on more of the rides. If we were to go next year he would most likely just be missing the 40 in. mark for alot of the rides. How are the crowds and weather in January and February?? We went 10/29-11/4 and had FANTASTIC weather and NO CROWDS!

Yes Jason it counts! :) I would love to hear when you return how CBR compares to WL. If we decide to try a mod. CBR is one we are thinking of.

shhh, don't tell my DFi but I already have our 06 dates picked (mid october for MNSSHP) and have narrowed 07 down to a 3 week window. we leave in 15 days for our 05 trip and he has made me promise not to mention the D-word for 2 full months after we are back, that puts me at 2/14/06, so I guess I will break the news to him on Valentines day!

I thought the crowds were very small in January, about the same as Sept. The weather was unpridictable, but nice. You have to pack for warm & cold weather. We mostly wear short sleeves during the day & coats at night.

When I first responded to this thread we were planning on the first week in Dec.07, now possibly going Dec.8-15,2007. :hourglass
The Dis Boards helped us tremondously with our 2003 & 2004 WDW vacations. :disrocks: So much that my sister and I seemed to know more than our T.A. ;)
So far our group includes: the two "Montana Minnies" ( me and my older sister), our 2 Dear Nieces ( one lives on the East Coast the other on the West Coast) and our DM, who will be 88 by then.
Happy Planning to All :yay:

May 12-19, 2007 is when we'll be there. We're going for an unofficial family reunion (with 20+ people) and to celebrate my grandmother's 80th, my niece or nephew's 1st, my brother's 25th, and my cousin's 22nd birthdays. My parents became DVC members on our last trip in August so we'll be staying in a Grand Villa at OKW (hopefully). I'm so excited! I'm trying to really plan it already but I know a lot can change in a year and a half. Oh well. I just keep reminding myself that this time next year it'll be really official since we'll have the room booked.

Count us in!! We're planning on going in late March 2007 with some friends and we're going to stay at the Beach Club....very exciting. I've never stayed there and we've always wanted to give that one a try.

We also may be going again Thanksgiving 2007, but that's not set in stone yet and it's with DH's family.

No trips in 2006 though, the baby is too young, and we want to save our money.

I'm in. My fiancee and I will be going probably from July 10 to july 18 for our honeymoon. We're getting married July 7 (a Disney themed wedding, of course) and will leave for WDW a few days later. We're going to stay at the Grand Floridian. I look forward to hearing everyone's plans, as well as sharing my own.

First week of Jone '07. Will stay in a value, so that we can get dd2 back to the room quickly at the end of the day or if she wont sleep in the stroller in the afternoon. Value is for sure all we can afford (DH will complain that we are paying the same or more and not getting the free hot breakfast buffet to begin with) I think I saw someone post somewhere that they had gotten a value rate of $50 per night? Maybe that was with an AP discount, but thats fine, since I'll have those anyway.

Ill visit this thread often, as time creeps by, posting my progress to *prepare* Ariel for her first trip. She'll spend lots of time at Chuck E Cheese next year, getting used to the size of a costumed character. Also watching a few Disney DVD's. I need to prepare as well. I am way out of shape, and need to get used to walking!

Count me in!!! I was so glad to see 2007 trip dates posted. I thought I was the only one who had to wait for sooooo long before our next trip. We were there this past June for 10 nights but we bought a new home a couple of months ago and we simply can't afford a 2006 trip. It looks as though I have no choice but to wait until May 30-June 7 of 2007. It just seems so far away which makes me really sad, but it's good that I'm not alone!!! :sad1:
Thanks for posting!

we'll be heading back in 2007, we came back from 16 nights about a month ago, and now we are saving like mad for september 2007. We are planning on 21 nights and want to stay at the Polynesian for either all or some of the trip.

It does seem so far away but I'm sure it will fly by.

We wanted to go back May 2006 but I think we have to wait until Nov. 2007(Thanksgiving). The bright side is that I have more time to save money and would love to stay at WL(if we have to wait that long). But actually it is 2 years away for us.

:wave2: Count me in, we were there in May and we are planning our next trip May 07 the week before Memorial Day Weekend. We have been there twice and both times stayed at Carribiean Beach. We love it there but we are thinking about trying a different moderate out. :confused3 If anyone has suggestions, I would really like some info on the Port Orleans. We were scheduled there the first time we went and they closed down the week we were scheduled, so Disney let us choose a different Moderate and thats how we ended up at Carribean Beach. The only down side of CB is the long walks. My cousin and his family are going for the first time ever with us so we want to show them a great time so they get as hooked on Disney as us!!

I have been in Feb, and I wore pants and a short sleeved shirt. At night I had to wear a jacket, but that was in 03. I usually go in Jan now, and it is pretty much the same. I am staying at BC my next trip, it seems like a fun resort. I usually stay at the Poly, but I am looking forward to the Epcot resorts.

We haven't even taken our 2006 trip yet and I am already thinking if we can possibly do another trip in 2007. My husband and myself are planning on taking a cruise to Alaska but we won't be doing that until the summer of 2008. I am hoping that our finances will allow us to do another disney trip since that cruise is going to set us back a few bucks.

How are the crowds in Feb?
We were there 2/9/03 - 2/15/03, and the crowds were light the first part of our stay but got a little busier towards the end. I think Presidents week effects the crowds as well as Mardi Gras if it falls in Feb. Feb is better then summer time though.

PocahontasLookALike
11-20-2005, 11:18 PM
Good to know! We were there this summer for Memorial Day, so I figure if we can handle that, we can handle anything! And the crowds weren't even that bad over the summer.

We're planning a family trip in early December 2007, staying at the Wilderness Lodge. We never can come home from a Disney vacation (ours is in early January ! :cool1: ) without already having another trip in the works. The January surprise trip is fully planned and funded, so what else are we to do to pass the time? :teeth:

I have my August 07 dates all picked out and in the hands of my DU agent who is going to book as soon as we reach the 500 day mark. I think we're going to stay at VWL, BUT, there is a chance we might splurge on a 2 bedroom Polynesian princess suite.

Now, 07 is just TOO TOO TOO long for me to wait, so my mom and I have already booked Oct. 06 as a surprise to my DH and my dad. We're booked at WL, but thinking of switching to a 2 br. villa at VWL.

We'll see...

We just came back from WDW on 10/8, and we have 5 park days and 3 Plusses left on our 10 day MYW tickets. So, we are planning on going back in November '07. We want to rent DVC points to stay at Beach Club. If that doesn't work out, though, we would like to try CBR or POR.

My fiancee' and I are getting married next June (2006) so we will be taking our honeymoon to somewhere other than Disney this year. We have been to WDW for the past two summers, staying at the POP Century, and loving every minute of it!

We have already planned to visit WDW in June 2007 with friends of ours. It will be our first anniversary, and our friends' 17th anniversary two days later. So we are really looking forward to it. We have never traveled to WDW with friends from home, so that should be different. I'm hoping to stay at the Beach Club this time, but we will see. I also love the Polynesian, but we are both teachers, and don't know if we can afford that..

Has anyone here done concierge at the Grand Floridian before? If so, what are the pros and cons? I briefly thought about this the other day and since I'm spending my honeymoon there in 7/07, I was just curious as to what concierge service is like there.

We're going back for Jersey Week in 2007. I started planning as soon as we got back from WDW in October. I'd go in 2006, but don't want my family to think that I'm one of those crazy Disney people who can't stop obsessing about their next trip. :rotfl: Moderation in all things! Anyway, I've pretty much settled on either CSR or the Dolphin, depending on rates, meal plan availability at that time, etc. But I could be talked into Beach Club if I can rent someone's DVC points. If only there were a 12-step program to help me stop daydreaming about vacation in the World.

We are planning on a March '07 trip. Just waiting for the school calendar to be approved for the official dates. This will be our first trip that will not be during Christmas Break. Planning on a day at Discovery Cove. Will stay at the Grand Floridian, but unsure of Tower room or Lagoon View. Yep! We are going in 2007 too. Not sure when until I get a new job and know what the vacation schedule is like. I will tell you it will not be in the summer. There is no way I can handle the heat or the crowds.

We just got back from the Thanksgiving trip and I am ready to go back.

We are planning a "Magical Gathering" for December of 2007. It will be my 30th Birthday...I thought celebrating my 30th birthday at WDW would sort of soften the blow. My parents, DH parents, and my aunt and uncle and family are all considering coming. I'm hoping my grandparents will still be healthy enough to join us too.

My mom and I are already plotting several trips. :rotfl: One for Easter '07, one for New Years '08, and Halloween possibly for '09. That one depends on when I finish grad school, because October is mid-terms. At first we weren't sure what my dad would think of all this, but he actually suggested doing Cirque de Soliel (?) on New Year's. I think we've rubbed off on him after all these years...there's no resisting the Disney magic! We are going Late 2006 or Early 2007. Like many of you we are waiting on the official 2006-2007 school calander. There are 3 proposed calanders out now. It looks like there may be some teacher workdays the week after MLK weekend so the 3rd week of January looks like a possibility. I did a search of some posts about MLK weekend and the following week. Does anyone here have any thoughts about that week?

This thread is just what I need right now. I'm missing the pre-Christmas fun at WDW. Our last trip was Sept-Oct and we won't be returning again until Jan 2007. We upgraded our tickets to non-expiring from our MYW plus FREE dining package, so we have 3 days to play! We just need to fine tune all the details, but we've got a year to do it! I just love planning our WDW trips! I'm sure all of you understand and "get it".

Count me in for a 2007 trip. We're leaving for WDW and our first DCL cruise in 2 weeks, so it's going to take me until 2007 to save up for our next trip. But that's ok, as long as I have a trip planned, I'll be ok! The actual booking won't be done until we return from the cruise, but by this coming January, we'll officially be going back to WDW in 2007.

I hate it that I have to skip a year in my siggy, since we've traveled to either WDW or Universal every year since 2000, but oh well, this cruise is breaking the bank for a little while.

I'm planning a late August 2007 trip, which seems like ages to wait, but I booked my cruise 16 months out, and now it's here. So beginning January, I'll be a regular here. I hope this thread lasts!

YIPEE!!! We are going on Jan 2007. We just cant wait any longer. Just had a baby and want to wait for him to be at least 1 before we go...so we are thinking maybe going on Jan 1st for a week! We have to wait until DH gets more vacation in Jan, but LOVE being there around the holidays!!!

I am already SO excited!!! Thinking we are going to try the Wilderness Lodge this time around. We have stayed at Pop and POFQ before. Always talk about deluxe, but decide to save money when it comes down to it...but..the whole cabin in the woods, with the fireplace when its cold...I like that idea!!!!

We're in for 2007! Just returned last week from 7 days at the Poly and we've already got our dates for 2007 - Nov 25th - Dec 2 - 8 days at the Poly!

In a few weeks we can start saying we are going "next year" instead of in two years - sounds better anyway! :)

Come on guys!!! Let's keep this thread going....We are going May 07 and I am in Disney withdrawal big time right now!!!

We just got back from our first Disney World trip last Saturday. We were there for 7 days, and I swear I have never seen smiles on my kids faces nonstop like they were while in Disney World. It is truely the most fun we have ever had, and seeing my kids enjoy it the way they did was so worth the money and time spent planning. Now that we're back it so depressing!!!!

But that's why we need to keep this thread going to keep us excited for our next trip!! :goodvibes

When I first subscribed to this thread, I wasn't sure which month we were planning on going but I think I decided on May 4- May 13, which my dd6 will be celebrating her 8th birthday while there so that will be fun for her!

I don't know if this is already mentioned in this thread but does anyone know when they will release rates for 07? And when can we book?

I am having major withdrawl symptoms. We got back Sunday from a weeklong trip, and Monday at work/school was HARSH! I came home and my mom was misty-eyed. We looked at each other, laughed, and both said "I want to go back!" at the same time! :rotfl:

We had never been there during the holiday season, and I was so speachless by how beautiful everything was. We got to stay deluxe this time too, which was a total treat. My new favorite resort is the Boardwalk!

My cousin will likely do another CP internship in '07, so hello Disney discounts! We're contemplating moving down there and becoming cast members for life. :rotfl2:

Must start planning...think warm thoughts....pixie dust...
Planning will keep me warm during the brutal Chicago winter... :cold: ...stupid wind!

I got back last saturday the 3rd and was wearing shorts saturday afternoon , woke up home in nj sunday morning to snow....i want to be back. I think
about it everyday. Just picked up my pictures this afternoon and it makes
the withdrawals even worse.

As far as I know there is no reason you can't book '07 now, they will
just tell you the price may be adjusted when the new listing comes out.
Before we became dvc members I always booked that far in advance, so
I could budget my trip.

We are planning a January 7-11 trip for 2007 but now I'm wondering about the marathon...I went once during this and had no problems with crowds...but I may have just had good luck with that. I hope that it won't be too bad.

We've decided we're doing Spring Break 2007. We'll probably go down on March 31 and leave the Monday after Easter. We've invited my mom to join us on this trip. She really wants to go and my dad just can't do all the walking and isn't exactly the Disney type anyway. Having her with might help with some of the crowds we'll be running into since we can split up in two groups of two. We're hoping to start the trip by spending the first Saturday at Kennedy Space Center then on to 7 days in the parks. It can't get here soon enough!

We are looking at going in late march or April 2007. I would like to avoid most of the spring break madness, but want to see the fireworks, parades and have later hours that usually only happen in peak times. Does anyone have any idea of when would be a good time? When will the peak season end and value season begin? We have never done WDW before. Heat and humidity are not my friends... How soon do you need to book?

It is now official. We can all say....WE ARE GOING NEXT YEAR!!!!

Oh my gosh, I didn't even realize!!! We are planning sometime around Thanksgiving to second week of Dec. 07. The kids want to be there for the filming of the Christmas parade, so we're kind of planning around that, but hoping for a 2 week stay so our dates will be a little flexible. The kids were a little disappointed that they didn't see people like Raven, Hillary Duff, or Christie Carlson Romano when we were there. To them, that's Disney because they watch the teenie bopper shows all the time, not so much the animated movies. I expected there to be an area in MGM at least themed toward current Disney channel stuff, although I knew we wouldn't really see any stars. They're hoping if we go at a time when we know the stars are actually there, we'll have a better chance of seeing a few! (My 9 year old hopes to marry Zach or Cody!)

wow! And I thought I was the only one who's into long-term planning! :teeth:

Living in Southern CA, we've been to Disneyland several times but last year was our first trip to WDW, and we all loved it so much and so now we all can't wait to go back! And originally we planned to visit again this year, but there were some change of plans. So this summer, we're visiting relatives in Southeast Asia BUT a Disney trip is still not out of the way...because we also will get to visit HK Disneyland. :sunny:

So now, I'm planning 2 vacations, 1 for this year, and 1 for August 2007, which will be our first trip home to SSR. I'm so excited, and that's all I could think about right now :Pinkbounc (which is not really a good thing because I'm currently at work!! :surfweb: ) ;)

Count us in for 2007! I was there the 1st week of Feb for business (it was very sad not having my family with me!) and we all were there Nov. 27 - Dec 7, 2005.

Next trip will be for our 15th anniversary which is in early October. However, we are not sure if we are going to do two weeks in October, or 16 nights in November/December. Not sure where to stay either - YC is our home-away-from-home, DH wants to do a split with GF, and on my Feb trip I visited AK for breakfast at Boma and loved the look and feel of that resort too! We are now being crazy enough to consider a triple split GF/AKL/YC!

Happy planning to all!

My only concern is everyone is talking about how crowded it will be President's Week which is when we are going. But it's the only time in Feb my husband could go. Thought Feb would be a good month to go!! Oh, well! Still excited!!! :cool1: :cool1:

Booked a split stay between POR and CR.... Be our first trip in 3 years and 2nd ever time with the kids. Since the last time the middle (now the middle) was only 3 and the youngest wasn't even born it should be like our first time....

I think I'm more excited than the kids.

January 2007 for us. First return to the World since 1995. This time probably just dh and myself. The grown up "kids" are whining, but with other obligations and college loans their vacation time is more limited than ours. Maybe if we decide to tell them our exact dates they'll decide to come along?????? Anyway, can't wait. Hope everyone's trip is terrific!

I am so excited for a 2007 thread! My fiance and I are going to WDW for our honeymoon. We are going from June 3rd-11th. We are staying at the Grand Floridian. We know we want to get the dining package (the one that includes tix to Cirque du Soliel). My fiance has not been to disney since he was 11 or 12 (he'll be 30 when we go) and the last time I was at Disney was 1997. It sounds like most of you are returning vacationers. Any advice on restaurants or shows would be fantastic! I have some books and guides but it's always better to get recommendations from people!

I am going to go in 2007 too! No matter what! We just came back May 16 and i am already thinking of the next. My DH is not so enthusiastic. :sad2: But if we have to go without him then we will!

I would love to go in May again. It was perfect, but my DS would love to go for his B-Day in Dec. 1) I heard it was the most crowded around christmas and more expensive. 2) It may also be cold. I live in philly so i know it will be warmer than here, but warm enough to swim and stuff???? and

3) I DONT WANNA WAIT THAT LONG!!!!!!!!

So i dont know what to do. This may be the last time i can pull the kids out of school for a vaca. My son goes to a demanding magnet school and while he is doing/always has done/and i am sure he will continue to do great, 7th grade is a very important year to meet high school requirements so i dont want him to miss anything. and then high school.....geesh.

Ahhhhh....i just wanna book and be able to count down!

Glad I have others in the boat with me :grouphug:

We're going at the end of Jan. We changed our minds and decided not to stay at AKL and rent points from a DVC owner instead. We'll be staying in a studio at the BCV for half of what we would pay at AKL. We love AKL and plan to spend some time there for a meal or spa treatment. For the BC Nov. 19-23, 2007! I am so excited! We are going to stay at WL from the 24th till the 28th--couldn't make those when I made the BC reservation. We had planned to do WL the whole time, then DH watched Samantha Brown do the Disney hotels and loved BC. He thinks WL is too much like the Northern Maine camp we just came from last week. Funny thing is, we are only a few miles from the beach here in RI, and about an hour from Cape Cod!

Really excited to finally have an actual reservation--I haven't been since '89 and my Dh and 2 DD's have never been. Love being able to "see" who else is going then. :thumbsup2

Woohoo, I'm so glad I found this thread! Finally a group with tickers similar to mine. :teeth: Actually I was looking for a place to make a silly post about some great news I got today.

First some background: Our next trip (as you can see by my ticker) will be Aug. '07. I finally decided on which resort to stay at a couple months ago and made reservations for the Poly. I've been a little apprehensive but now feel pretty good about my decision. Anyway, we'll be in WDW for 10 full days to be followed by a 7 day cruise on the Disney Magic. Joining me and my 3 teenage sons on the cruise will be my mom, MIL, sister, her husband, SIL and her husband and my then 5 year old niece.

The reason for my excitement is that I found out today that my sister will be joining the boys and I on the WDW portion of the trip. Although she and her hubby are going on the cruise, I really wanted her to experience WDW but we weren't sure her hubby would agree to it since he'd have to stay behind due to not having enough vacation time. I'm sooo happy! We haven't vacationed together since I was a teenager. I'm ecstatic to be able to show her around WDW.

Someone mentioned watching the planning video over and over. Hmm, looks like I'll have to get mine out and watch it tonight! :happytv:

DH & I spent a week at WDW (Ft. Wilderness Resort & Campgrounds) this past May celebrating our 15th wedding anniversary. It was DH's first trip to WDW and he is definitely hooked now!

We are planning on going back May '07. I've got a few dates in mind - just waiting to see if they will work out. And we're hoping to stay a bit longer than "just a week" this time. This time we're planning on staying at SSR (since we joined DVC in May and SSR is our home resort).

We'd like to go down to WDW this fall, but we've just got too much going on. One year I'd like to be able to "kidnap" dh and take him down to WDW in January for his birthday.

I know that I am totally spoiled because we leave in 25 days for free dining :teeth: and we are already planning our WDW "reunion" trip with DH's brothers and their families :grouphug: for next June. I LOVE having 3 WDW trips in the works  !! Life is good :wizard: .

Yep! We'll be at POP 4/27-5/5 :cheer2: Nine months is WAY too long :hourglass I just read somewhere that those two weekends are grad nights :sad2: So I am passing my days reading everything grad night related on DIS to plan ahead and make the most out of it :stir: So far, it doesn't sound like it will be that much of an impact, I'll just adjust our schedules those evenings and maybe do MGM instead of MK......but I was looking forward to staying late in MK the first night....maybe grad night will be Saturday and not Friday? :confused3

My dad and I are going January 31-February 7 and staying at AKL. We took our first trip last October and stayed at BC, so I'm nervous about it comparing to AKL...BUT the price was so much better. We plan on doing SeaWorld and Busch Gardens, plus taking TWO days for Epcot this time as we hardly saw any of it trying to do it in one day!

We are planning end of April 2007. Does anyone know if spring break is over by then for most places? I was hoping it wouldn't be to crowed. I am sooooo excited, probably more than my six year old, but stll have sooooo long to wait !!!:rotfl2:
We are going the last week in April too, maybe we'll see you there, where are you planning on staying. We will be at Wilderness Lodge.

2/05-2/10....We will be at Broadwalk Inn....This is my birthday trip/present...
I can not wait....I am little nervous about doing the parks with a 4 year old and 2 year old by myself, but I am sure it will be just fine! :)

I've been lurking for a while but had to chime in for this. I'm trying to work around grad nights too !! It is kind of a downer. I am thankful we will be arriving early on 4/26 so we can spend that evening in MK if we're up to it. I haven't been in 20years and my dd10 has never been so I don't want to fall into the commando trap and crash early on. Do we go to sleep early and miss parade and fireworks to be able to make MK opening the next day ? Or do we stay til closing and just try to get an early start but not push making it to the rope drop? HELP !!
( Oh, and we're also going with my sis and neice9 who are not early risers ) :confused3

This is my first post ever on this site. I have to say that I am exstatic to have found all of you :cool1: My name is Ann and I am a S-A-H-M from PA. I have 2 boys (ages 4 and 2) and another on the way.

My DH and I have recently set up a vacation for our family to go to WDW May 14-17, '07 and we are staying at CS. We have decided to leave the baby with family and just take the older boys.

Can anyone tell me if this is a good time of year to go to WDW and if CS is a good choice? We have only ever gone to WDW once before and that was just Oct '05! I can't believe what we have been missing out on all of these years!

Thanks for reading. Ann

Welcome to the DIS Ann! You'll soon become addicted, I'm sure ;) I've only ever stayed at POR (July 05) and I camped at FW in 1991, so I have no advice on CS. I've heard May is a wonderful time of year to go - the weather is manageable as well as the crowds. I am also looking forward to the Flower and Garden Show. Happy planning :)

Hi! Welcome to the DIS!

CSR (Coronado Springs) is very nice- we stayed there in 2002. The Dig Site pool and playground is awesome!! The resort itself is beautiful. The only drawback I noticed was the size of the resort- it is HUGE!! The buildings are situated around a lake- I think it is about 1 mile all the way around. Nice for strolling on a lazy day, but not so great when you've been walking around the parks all day and your feet are tired. Since we visited, though, they have added a resort shuttle system to help folks get around.

May should be a pretty good time- school won't be out yet, and Spring breaks will be over, so the crowds won't be bad. The weather hasn't gotten really hot and humid yet, either.

You will have a blast!

We are going in July of 2007. We have reservations at BC. I am not looking forward to going when it is super hot but I can't take the oldest DD out of school next fall and the money wasn't in the budget to go this fall. This means we have to when school is not in session (June, July, or first 3 weeks in August). Our youngest DD's birthday is in July so we decided it would so cool for her to spend her birthday at WDW. So I booked July. We have 304 days until we are there.

None of my family (me, DH, DD, DS & my mom) have ever been to WDW and couldn't hold out any longer. We have a trip planned and will be staying at WL from 5/31 to 6/7, then we're going to a hotel on the gulf side of FL somewhere on the beach (nothing picked yet). My mom and I have never seen the ocean and my DH has only seen it once about 18 years ago, so we'll spend a couple days at the beach! I'm already excited. I don't know how I'm gonna hold out for the next 8 1/2 months!!

We will be there the week after you!!! Have you stayed at POR before? My DH doesn't feel the Disney magic :sad2: like my kids and I do, so we may go on our own next time. We are thinking of taking an extended fall break vacation the 23-28th of October. We stayed at ASMo last time, but I really want to try a moderate. ASMo was just fine, and that is where my DS6 would love to stay again, but I think a moderate would be so much fun with the entertainment and beautiful grounds!

Hello all!

I am happy happy happy to see this thread! My wait is horrifically long, as we are planning a trip for September 2007. We went for our first time in 2004, and I hav been dying to get back, and now I WILL BE! WAHOO!

Our last trip we planned in about 3 months time. Having a whole year to save and plan is good and bad. Good because we can really save up the money, and we can really take our time planning out our trip details. Bad because I tend to obsess (like many of us here) over my Disney planning, and it will be a long year of dreaming and aching to go!

I was going first in December and I already began to buy clothes (I live in Puerto Rico) and planning everything but my dear told me last week " no can do" because it's better to wait a little bit more and save some more money. So I was very dissapointed but then told me that we would be going for Valentine's Day  . So I'm planning again where we'll be staying; for what we were going to pay in December for a 2 star we can stay in Feb. in a 3 star or a resort, so I guess it's better in terms of money, but anyway I was dissapointed not to spend New Years Eve with Mickey. I have my hopes back again :woohoo:

First trip was June '04 (heat, frustration, dehydration, crowds..LOVE IT!), stayed at the VWL. Unable to pull off ANYTHING I planned except actual presence in the parks. :sad2: Oh, and my wife thought I was losing my mind in the lead up because I spent all of my time on the DIS.

THIS time, June 22 - 29th (C'mon, SWEAT! You know you love it!). BIL is in the US Air Force and we are all staying at SoG. Our kids, DD-7 and DS-4, will be perfect ages for such proximity to MK. OK, and so will I.

Yesterday, my wife and I spent the majority of the day talking about the trip. Turns out, not only do I have Disney OCD, I'm also a carrier. :thumbsup2

With girls that age, I think you should upgrade to at least a moderate. There is more to do if you start to get on each others nerves. Is shopping a big thing for them? Both Port Orleans resorts have a boat that will take you from the resort straight to Downtown Disney. And if they like to swim the pools are much nicer. I would give the edge to POR at this, the pool at POFQ is geared more towards smaller children.

We will be at POR June 2007. This will be our first time staying onsite. It will also likely be our last family vacation together as our oldest daughter is in college and beginning to do "her own thing". It is becoming harder and harder to plan time together. We are looking forward to our much needed time together as a family and making memories to last a life time!

Magical Vacations to Everyone!
