Poinsettias

Have you bought your poinsettia plants yet?
There are many different varieties out there-which one is your favorite?


I will buy my plants maybe next week, but before Thanksgiving.
My favorite would be the regular big red petal ones.

Haven't got mine yet ~ but I love the peach ones!! They always sell so quick~!

I was so excited to buy a blue poinsettia last year. I did a bit of research to try to figure out how they got it to turn blue. I thought it was like the carnation thing with the blue water but i think they sprayed it. Well, unfortunately it began dyeing almost immediately. It could have been me but I'm blaming it on the dye. By the way, I like the deep red ones, the deeper the better.

I've ordered mine from the high school band, they sell gorgeous ones. I like the deep red ones, but if there's a pure white one in the display I like that too.

We got in some white sparklers this year, and they were the first to sell out...pure white with white variegated foliage. Very clean and pretty. Also think the red "winter rose" variety is unusual and interesting, but not my favorite. Just too leggy looking.

I guess my fave is the burgundy ones.

I had gotten my poinsettia plant tonight and it makes a nice addition to our dining room.
