With the new ride in Disneyland Park - Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast - due to open in April 2006 are you planning a visit because of this new attraction?

I don't think I'd plan a visit based solely on the opening of a new attraction (we can only really afford to go once every couple of years at the moment) but we do plan to visit in November 2006 so I'm definitely looking forward to there being a new attraction. :flower: If we'd planned to go in March then I suppose we would probably postpone it a couple of months so we wouldn't miss out!

I would think so...need to make use of our annual passes so I anticipate a trip either in May or in July. We will also go back for Halloween again, after having such a fantastic time this year, although that will necessitate the purchase of more annual passes! I really enjoy the Buzz ride in WDW, so looking forward to it!

I doubt we would book for the sole reason of a new attraction, but if there was a new one coming up and we were planning a trip anyway, we would probably try to plan it so we were there when it was open! That'll be especially true of the Tower of Terror in... 2007, is it now?! :hyper:

Eee yes, I was thinking of that when I wrote my reply, actually! That's the one I'm really looking forward to - and actually Toon Town as well, I suppose! - so would definitely try to plan in advance for a trip after they open. It wouldn't be the only reason for the trip but we'd definitely take it into consideration.

Hopefully we'll be going twice next year - late spring/summer and November. No, I wouldn't be influenced on when to go by a new attraction opening.
What kind of ride is it? If it's a big thrill ride then only Jason would go on it anyway.!

It's one of our favourites from WDW and DH absolutely loves it and, being a very competitive sort of person, takes those scores very seriously!!! I hope nobody ever lets on to him that it's actually a kiddie ride!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: It is good fun though - totally unscary Joanne - you ride along in a car and try to kill the evil Emperor Zurg and his baddies with a laser gun!!! Very colourful!! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v486/diberry/California2005084.jpg

Looks good fun. I'll give it a go next year.
Jason is very competitive too, so he'll insist on being up against Emily (3).!
Much as I would love to - I doubt I would ever plan a visit to DLP just to experience the latest ride. But seeing as we should be going again next year (hooray!!) I will hopefully get to try Buzz out sooner rather than later.
Joanne - it's a really fun ride, which appeals to all ages!!

Well I have to say me and my growing love for DLRP would visit there for utmost anything, probably even a redo of an attraction was advertised as a brand new attraction, oh sorry that happened this past summer hehe. Well I definately think I will visit to try out Buzz, me being the coaster enthusiast I am love rides and wow it looks fun, plus it looks like a fantastic version of a very fun small interactive dark ride here in the UK called Duel at Alton Towers, so yea I am gonna go just to ride it, want to try and go on opening day too.
