View Full Version : Want to star in Pirates of the Caribbean?

Open casting for extras for the sequels to Pirates of the Caribbean is being held November 19 in Orlando's Downtown Media Arts Center from 9 a.m. until noon. The production, starring Johnny Depp and again directed by Gore Verbinski, will be shot on Grand Bahama Island in January and February. Background Casting Director Thomas Gustafson says he's looking for all types of good male actors -- but ONLY male actors -- to portray pirates, military and Asian seamen.

Actually I've often been mistaken for Johnny Depp. Perhaps I'll give it a go.

that's pretty much all you get when you work as an extra.....the pay is minimal (and the room and board less than palatial)....but no one ever does it for the pay...
i used to do extra work when i was younger, just for the experience....the pay was basically pocket change....
maybe i'll start doing it again, now that i've given up my day job...
