View Full Version : Woohoooooo!!! I'm so proud of myself!

This is my first post to this forum (I'm usually found at Dis cruise line and Disney for families) We're going on our first family vacation to WDW Feb 28th through March 11th which includes the Eastern Magic cruise.... well, I have really been wanting to lose some weight, get in shape and really enjoy myself and be comfortable in a nice swimsuit. (my goal is 30lbs.) I'd love to lose it by the end of February..... is that within reach?

Anyway~ I finally talked my sister into walking with me (we started walking November 3rd. and I've been counting pts since that time also and haven't cheated once! (I am determined ;) ) We've gotten up every morning - (she drives about a mile to meet me at my house) and we walk from 6am-6:45 every morning. We go the same route everyday and walk at a good "clip" but have never actually measured the distance. (I knew it was a pretty good distance but had no idea until she just called me at work.) She just took a ride to see exactly how far we've been walking everyday......

I'm so excited!!! Our DH's are being great about giving us lot's of support and I feel better already!!! I am walking 21 miles a week!!! If that doesn't "FIRM" me up... I'm in trouble! :rotfl: Anyway ~ I wanted to share my news! I really want to get into one of the monthly challenges.... found this forum too late for November - darn it... :rolleyes:

Congratulations, 3 miles is great!! Jump into any of the challenges you want at any time of the month!

Thanks gradtchr!!! I'm just joined November challenge and I'm ready for the christmas challenge!!! "WISH" me luck! :flower:

Hey, it's never too late to join the November challenges! You can do the exercise challenge and just count the number of minutes you have already done and tell gradtchr what you've accomplished.

Welocme to WISH!I'm so glad you found us. By the looks of your siggie, you have found the challenges. That is a great way to work toward your goal. Keep making healthy eating choices, moving and drinking that water.

Plan to make this a lifestyle change and keep on keepin' on.
