Thank you! I have no idea what kind of spider that is, but I knocked it off the wall and it ran towards my foot so it's a spider no more! :teeth: DH says it's "just a spider." There is no such thing as "just a spider" IMO.

Not the best picture, but I was so proud of this rose bush. I planted it last year and was so happy that it lived AND bloomed. I had never attempted to grow roses.
Pic is from last year, first blooms I had.

Nothing really yet this year, plants are just now starting to emerge from their deep sleep!

I've been wanting an urn planter for a while, but never knew what I'd put in it. Finally today I just went to the nursery and bought some stuff and this is what I got:
http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y112/rmartin1129/Picture050.jpghttp://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y112/rmartin1129/Picture032.jpg

Caladiums, English ivy, and one impatien.

And I got this. Not sure what it was as there was no tag or description.

Hey, wait about a month (maybe less) and our garden in our backyard is really stunning... in the mean-time here's an image of a bouquet I made for my family's flower shop website hehe! I'm no expert but I'm just wasting time... real garden pics to come soon!

EDIT: ok... turns out I haven't posted enough to be able to put pictures in my posts... sooooo too bad I guess we'll have to wait for the real garden.

They're for the "international" section, in cases where only a generic product of that type is available... it's not very good to put a picture of something specific unless you can be sure it will look like that. In this case perhaps they will be expecting someone from the South Park cartoon to be delivering these bouquets... I don't know!!

My family moved last spring. We inherited a garden that had been neglected for a few years. Some of the weeds were bigger than me and we were not sure where the grass ended and the garden started. When we started pulling weeds we found things that had been thrown in the garden and then were covered with weeds. We were not sure what we were going to uncover next. With a lot of hard, hard work we finally have the garden looking the way we want. Here are some before and after pics.

deb...noticed the english roses..i had some for yrs but had to leave them behind last move...i just was looking through the DA rose catalog to get some for next spring and saw the princess margareta as a climber...how long have you had yours and how has it been health wise? it looks nice. I had a graham thomas and Gertrude jeykel ( sp) as climbers in the old house but was thinking of trying a newer one hoping they might be more disease resistant as they got bad black spot.( could be cause i transplanted them 3 times when we moved;) )

DebšošS
08-05-2007, 06:10 PM
That must've broken your heart to leave them. Very sad. Pr. Margareta is a very healthy bush. I've had her since 2001. My Graham Thomas is doing well but does get leggy if I'm not on top of it. They've never been moved. Too much work and I'm really bad at transplanting roses. I just love E roses.:love:I'll post some more pics soon.

This is my favourite flower possibly, love these things, affectionately known as 'lady slipper orchids'.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v11/NatashaH/1334.jpg

My Dad owns/founded a rare plant company, probably one of the only ones in the UK really definitely the biggest anyway. We have some 3500 plants on our property (that's a lot of nice flowers!) and on three other sites (Japan, The Netherlands, Latvia I think). Their plants that are supposed to appeal more to the keen garderner, because some of them do come with a hefty price tag. :scared1: Buckingham Palace has bought a number of times, so hey if you're ever there you might see some of them!

I recently purchased the most amazing Casablanca lilies from Dailycut.com. They are a farm in Texas who grow and ship some of the most beautiful flowers I have seen in a while. I ordered the Casablanca lilies on Monday and they were there the next day. The flowers lasted for almost two weeks and I was amazed to see the true beauty of the flowers when they blossomed. All of the products Dailycut.com has to offer are truly incredible. Here is a link to check out their beautiful Casablanca lilies.

How To Choose Plants For A Flower Garden
Spring is upon us yet again and it's time to get outside and get the garden looking bright with plants and flowers that will make your yard look good for the Summer. When you get ready to design your garden, it is best to pick a variety of plants that compliment each other as well as put on a colorful show for everyone to see. To make sure you have the best looking garden, you have to know how to choose plants for a flower garden that will be a showcase that you can be proud of.

Great blue lobelia (Lobelia siphilitica): This plant likes moister soils and grows up to 3 feet tall. It has a cluster of purplish-blue flowers along the stem at the top of the plant. It prefers sunny to partially shady conditions. This would be a good plant for a rain garden or a well-watered garden. It blooms from late summer into early fall.

Thank you:) I find it very relaxing to watch the butterflies flutter about from flower to flower. Over the years I've been planting more and more with the idea of attracting butterflies to the garden.

I'm with you. Over the years we have planted various butterfly friendly plants on our property to give us the opportunity to encourage more visits from these beautiful creatures while at the same time giving them a helping hand.

If I can figure a way out to keep it contained I want to plant some milkweed tin my gardens so the Butterflies have a place to reproduce.

Between the rabbits, frogs, birds and butterflies that visit our gardens I do not use any pesticides. It's our gardens but it's also their homes.

Thanks for the kind words♥

Clean? No, I let the rain wash the flowers:) I like to go out after it rains and take pics. The lighting is pretty good (not too harsh) and the flowers look fresh.
When I water flowering plants I do it at the base. No sprinklers just soaker hoses. It cuts down on fungus, diseases and a few other things that cause spots.
