Someone mentioned in another thread that they were looking for some good socks to wear when they ran. Has anyone worn "Smart Wool" socks? I had a couple of pair years ago. The store I bought them at closed and I never got another pair. Well, I found them at REI on Saturday. I had a gift card and I bought 3 pair. They are SO comfortable :) They also wick moisture away and are very cushion-y.

I wore a pair today when I took a 6.5 mile walk. My feet felt great! They are not cheap (about $12 pair) but they are so worth it (especially if I'm gonna be going 26 miles). They did have a 10% sale if you bought 3 or more pair. I'm glad I found them again.

Just thought I'd pass a little info on.

I wear smart wool socks all the time! I even used them while in Iraq and it was 115 degrees. I've found them to be the most comfortable with consistent cusion for me feet. They shouldn't shrink on you, however in a really hot washer and dryer they may. However, REI has a great guarentee and will replace them since the socks are warranted for the life of the sock. And you won't need a receipt either as long as you are a member and used your member number when you bought them.
