LEAVES!!!! I have been moving them out of the yard for weeks and the next day Mother Nature puts them back... And she allows them to bring friends!!!!!
And to top it off the wind broke my trellis...
Not happy... But I do love the smell of a nice fall day... And that does make me happy.

I hear ya! To think, I used to LOVE raking leaves. That was when I was young and stupid... and lived on my parent's quarter acre property with mostly evergreen trees! Now I'm old and wise and live on a bigger piece of property with TOO MANY TREES!!

Oh yea! Raking is such a pain except when you're young. Rolling around in a big pile is fun :cheer2: I can still remember the smell of burning leaves. The olden days

I don't mind the raking so much as I mind either bagging them or mulching them. I'm getting too old for all that bending :).

Thank heavens, we don't have to bag. The township takes them for compost if we get them to the curb.

I'm lucky in that I've found a good leaf system. Most of my leaves get blown into the beds and then after they all fall down I put bark nuggets over them to hide them, so lazy. Some more of my leaves get pushed around to this strange corner where my house and my neighbor's house sort of not really meet. It's a dead corner and pretty shaddy, so we just leave them there. The BEST dirt is hiding under there now! Whenever I need some really good dirt to work in, I just go dig some up under the leaf pile. The rest get raked and bagged, and I agree that it's a total drag! :teeth:
