Wow - I sure have a lot of pages to go back and check out, but I'm loving the pages I've seen in these last few pages. Sure is a lot of talent here and lots of inspiration! I'm working on our Disney book from our 2007 trip to WDW and then I can get the prints for our last trip to WDW in Jan. '09. I'll post some pages to share here soon.

oops sorry! didn't see your question till just now!

The tree is a overlay, I believe made by my minds eye, I found it in the Halloween section, the mickey's are just punched from my punch, the the title is from the Stamped cricut cart. :goodvibes

I can tell from your layouts that you really enjoyed your honeymoon. Smiles everywhere!

Like you, I spent my honeymoon at Disney World (though way back in '91) and really loved putting everything in a scrapbook (my first ever!). Kind of live reliving everything, right? Congratulations on your wedding (and first anniversary!), and thanks for sharing your layouts!

Have a great trip! :wizard: I hope we'll get to see some scrapbook pages from it afterwards!

Thanks Carol :thumbsup2 They are all from Creative Imaginations. The Together title is a rub-on - http://www.creativeimaginations.us/store/16210.php and the Magic and other bits are from this sticker sheet - http://www.creativeimaginations.us/store/20524.php. Hi Dacky...LOVED your scrapbook! I was wondering if you could tell me how you put your park maps in? They look so nice and I want to incorporate mine in my new scrapbook. Also all the extra things at the end like your keys to the world, etc. I can't figure out how to display those.
TIA!

Hi Lisa, when it comes to the park maps, I actually just used tiny tiny, tiny scissors to cut them out of the maps we picked up at the park. Then I just cut them where they naturally fold and carefully glued them on with an acid free glue stick.

As for the keys and such, i used removeable glue dots (love them!) so I could move them around if I wasn't happy with their placement. It took me forever to decide how to display it all...

I think in the next book I am going to put the keys in the beginning...since they really let you in EVERYWHERE.

HTH...I seem to be at a standstill on my creativity...I haven't touched a scrap making thing since before our trip in June (worst. scrapper. EVER.)

Anyway.....

http://i200.photobucket.com/albums/aa286/mommytotrev/100_6725.jpg

Dinoland - This one was a very quick one to do, which is unusual for me. I love the red dino paper, it's glittery and I don't get to use that too often, I have two boys!

http://i200.photobucket.com/albums/aa286/mommytotrev/100_6724.jpg
Big Thunder Mountain, quite possibly our family's favorite ride at WDW--this trip anyway. The cactus was something I freehanded and cut out.

Maybe so....it's always been DH's favorite vacation. We've only been twice since we got married, he went quite a bit before that, though. The mom of one of his friends lives there and they used to visit her alot. Our last visit was 2002, we've been to WDW in 2004, 2005, twice in 2007, 2008 and 2009 since then, so it's his turn, I guess.

I think we're due a quiet and restful vacation!

Okay ladies, one of my new years resolutions is to do more scrapbooking. I don't do digital even though I LOVE the way it looks. But it just seems too overwhelming to me for some reason. Plus I love to actually have the scrapbooking in hand to look through instead of saving in on the computer (I do know that you can print out the pages but it seems to be expensive, no?)

Anyhow, there doesn't seem to be anyone posting their layouts lately. How 'bout it. Let's see some more layouts. I really enjoy looking at everyone's pages and getting ideas!!!

Background paper is embossed with "Disney". Blue page is for DD, green is for DS. Used a sketch from www.pagemaps.com for this.

"Hello, Disney!"

http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47a0dc00b3127ccef93e31fc4f6200000040O01AZs27hm5YsQ e3nwE/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D550/ry%3D400/

Background is a textured light bubblegum pink. Title and mats are a medium periwinkle blue. I was trying to accent the pink in the castle. Both kids got pretty much the same LO. Used a Becky Higgins sketch.

"blaster boy"

http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47a0dc00b3127ccef93fc92c6f8200000040O01AZs27hm5YsQ e3nwE/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D550/ry%3D400/

DS's pages for our first visit to Buzz Lightyear's Astro Blasters. Background is a textured bright green.

"Astro fun"

http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47a0dc00b3127ccef93ff84fae5100000040O01AZs27hm5YsQ e3nwE/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D550/ry%3D400/

DD's pages for our visit with Buzz. Background is a patterned paper with blue circles. Used a BH sketch for both of these Buzz L/Os.

I will start another post for the rest. I already had to re-do this post twice because I kept losing it!! :scared1: Don't want to have to do it again!

If you saw my pages for the previous day at DL, you will notice the guys are wearing the same shirts. They LOVED their matching shirts so much that they wore them again the next day!!!.....P

http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47a0dc00b3127ccef93edd7c4f9400000040O01AZs27hm5YsQ e3nwE/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D550/ry%3D400/

DD's page.... used a deep forest green (textured, so the photo looks funny of course!) with light green and medium golden yellow.

http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47a0dc00b3127ccef93e5edd0fec00000040O01AZs27hm5YsQ e3nwE/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D550/ry%3D400/

DS's page.... used a deep vanilla/tan with navy and deep green mats and photo corners.

The "Big and small" title refers to BTMRR and IASW. Used a BH sketch for this I believe.

"Golden Moments"

http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47a0dc00b3127ccef93ebb6ece8500000040O01AZs27hm5YsQ e3nwE/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D550/ry%3D400/

Photos of a golden ride vehicle and the golden bunting and accents on the castle.

Background was navy with mats/accents of gold metallic and light blue metallic and a bit of patterned paper that contained light blue, gold, and pink (to accent the castle pink again).

http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47a0dc00b3127ccef93f73f4ee3700000040O01AZs27hm5YsQ e3nwE/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D550/ry%3D400/

Same idea but used two gold metallics and eliminated the light blue metallic. And I FINALLY got to use the golden Mickey ear brads that I have been saving for years!!

"Two Princes and Two Princesses"

http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47a0dc00b3127ccef93ea6328e4f00000040O01AZs27hm5YsQ e3nwE/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D550/ry%3D400/

Lame title. Background is Bazzills pink (so the texture makes the photo wanky). Mats, etc are a lighter Bazzills pink and a light green. Basically same LO for both kids. Used a BH sketch here.

Journaling page

http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47a0dc00b3127ccef93e341b8e2f00000040O01AZs27hm5YsQ e3nwE/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D550/ry%3D400/

I realized as I went along that I would have more journaling than I could reasonably put on my regular pages, so I decided to include a "journaling only" LO of sorts. DD made the "serendipity" page on the left a few years ago and I have been saving it for just such an occasion! Fortunately I still had a few scraps of paper that she included, so I was able to accent the right page with it.

http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47a0dc00b3127ccef93fa4aa2faa00000040O01AZs27hm5YsQ e3nwE/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D550/ry%3D400/

I copped out and did the most basic of basic pages for DS's journaling page. oh well... they can't all be masterpieces! :rotfl:

"Welcome to our Happy-To-Be Time!"

http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47a0dc00b3127ccef93ee2cd0fa200000040O01AZs27hm5YsQ e3nwE/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D550/ry%3D400/

Waiting for the parade to start. I pulled the title from the song that was playing during this time (the Welcome song from Brother Bear). I wanted to include the song lyrics on this page, but I didn't have a good spot for them, so I bagged the idea. But I may include them with a CD of the song in a pocket page later in the book. This is DS's page....

http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47a0dc00b3127ccef93fd2b12f8a00000040O01AZs27hm5YsQ e3nwE/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D550/ry%3D400/

and here is DD's page. Used another BH sketch here!!

"Parade of Dreams"

http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47a0dc00b3127ccef93f6ebeaeeb00000040O01AZs27hm5YsQ e3nwE/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D550/ry%3D400/

DD's page. Colors actually look true in this photo! Used a sketch from Page Maps.

http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47a0dc00b3127ccef93fce7aae7f00000040O01AZs27hm5YsQ e3nwE/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D550/ry%3D400/

and here is DS's page.

That's it for now.

I am totally stumped on the title for my next set of parade pages, so I am at a stand-still!

Thanks for looking!..................P

Great job, pjlla! I tend to have way too much journaling for our trips too, I usually have a "title/journal" page (2 pg LO, usually) for each park! Those are the ones I dread doing, but I do go back and read them later on.

Here's some of my first pages from our December trip. By the way, there's a hidden Mickey (or sometimes not so hidden Mickey. LOL) on each and every page of our Disney albums. See if you can find them all...

I totally agree! She just seemed to catch the essence of Disney! I would never have thought to make a scrap book page of the candy lady, the animation class or the pearl thingy, but I love all of these things! Of course now I'll be thinking along those lines for my next trips! I think I'll take pictures of the pearl jewelry we've made to include as a page. Or maybe a page of the 9,462 masks (ok it just seems that way) that my kids have made at EPCOT!!!

I love all of your pages... are they digital or traditional? Anyhow, do I recognize that tag on this page? Is it a hang-tag from something from the disney store? If so, I'm impressed. I saved a few from things we bought, but I couldn't really figure out what to do with. I've also noticed some cool fabric tags on some things there recently. I don't want to buy the items... I just want the tags!!

Thanks for sharing..... BTW, where is the hidden mickey on the Pearl page??..................P

Thanks! I appreciate the kind comments. I used to be really, really into scrapbooking and was published a lot, but I took a break from it so this is me getting back into the swing of scrapping again. Disney is such a great motivator!

Yes, the tag on the Mayan page is from a Disneystore tag. Nice catch. :thumbsup2

The hidden Mickey on the pearl page is actually punched from the same black patterned paper and added to the design... makes it more fun for my kids to find them if some are more hidden. Look about an inch above the "I" in "PICK".

Hi all, I am mostly a lurker on this board but had posted my scrapbook from my honeymoon last summer...well I'm working on our first anniversary trip now and would like to share my progress so far! I have definitely scraplifted from some very creative disers and made some my own. Also, I am loving using the Cricut to really personalize my book!

Enjoy:

Thanks! It was a pain to cut them out but it was fun putting it all together! I used my cricut mat to set them up in the mickey head so that they didn't move all around...then i used painters tape to transfer to paper- saved a lot of time and frustration!

I wish I had enough Animal Kingdom index prints to fill the head for the AK page, but I just didn't take as many pictures in that park last yr.

Perhaps this summer :cool1:

Very nice LOs.. you've got me inspired to get down to the scraproom and get stuff moving.. I think I'll organize my piles of photos and work on a couple of choir layouts for my kids' books.. I have a ton of things to do disney wise..however, the kids will be home from school in an hour... I need several hours to work disney while I remember the fun, family, laughter and magic!!!

Hey all,

I'm new to the boards, and I'm so glad I found this thread! I have a Disney Honeymoon album that I feel is very under-appreciated by my friends and family, it's a total Disney Fan's Curse. They don't share the same love of the mouse that I do. Anyhoo, I'll see if I can get some photos of it and post them shortly.

This is an album that I made for each of my 3 grandchildren of our trip to WDW in 2008. It is pretty simple but I plan for my next album of this year's trip to be greatly improved from all of the cool ideas that I plan to scraplift from the talented scrappers here.

Fantastic scrapbooks Liza ... you've got 3 very lucky grandkids. I bet they love looking back at their books.

It was very rewarding when the kids really liked them since you never know if what you love will be important to them. My grandson's first comment was "How long did it take you to make this?!". The answer was "a really longtime'. I don't think I'll try such an ambitious project again.

Thanks for the inspiration Liza! I am back in my scrapping slump and need beautiful work like yours to get me going again :)

I am working on uploading pics of what I have been working on since I last posted....it's crazy how much I scrap when I get into it. I decided to make two scrapbooks for last years trip because we took SO many amazing pictures.

I am going to try to keep the camera in the resort on our next trip

I am in a slump and hoped that posting pictures would get me moving.

I love all of your pictures with characters. Since we have been to the parks so many times we like to do all of the non-ride fun things when we are there without the kids and grandkids. We have a ton of character pics and I am always looking for new ways to scrap them. That's what I love about these boards.

Don't feel bad about multiple books. I never have less than 2 books from any trip longer than a weekend. Sometimes it's as many as 4 volumes - 3" each! When I am old and cannot get around I will sit in my rocking chair and look back at the scrapbooks and remember that I had a great life!

I seek out those characters! I find visiting with the characters to be as much fun as the rides in Disney!! I think I truly love it for the interaction as well as the fun scrapping it provides!

Thanks! I actually just type them up in Word using free fonts that I've found online. Then I set my printer to like 4x12" and cut the paper down to the size I want.

I've been amazed at the fonts I have found by googling- fonts for the haunted mansion, disney, and even monsters inc!

oh my goodness no, I don't cut all of the paper pieces by hand. My family got me the cricut for Christmas this past year and I have made it worth every cent! I absolutely love what it's done for my scrapbooking.

The only piece I did by hand was Boo's door...I dream of a Monster's Inc cricut cart! Or even just a Pixar...with all the Pixar characters pixiedust:

Grumpymom, I can't wait to see your work! Please post as I have loved what you have done in the past!! I hope you had a wonderful time in the World. I definitely know what you mean when it comes to putting too much thought into scrapbooking...I sometimes place a set of pictures on white paper for days before I can think of what to do...but it's so rewarding once an idea comes and the page is complete!

Clearly you have a better memory than I do!
Thanks,

aww I doubt it lizavance! I usually just remember a piece of it and then google it with quotes like "Paging Mr. Morrow" and see what comes up. I didn't remember the rest of the line until google showed me ("Your party has arrived from Saturn. Please give them a ring" cracks me up!)

Tink, too, the Cricut is such a wonderful invention. It overwhelmed at first...and still does sometimes but it has truly helped to improve my scrapping. The only ptoblem is the prices of those cartridges and the fact that I want them all. haha

I really appreciate the compliment on Boo's door. I doubt I could do it again if I tried though....that was a day of tons of patience, where I was home alone just loving creating!

I haven't scrapbooked in such a long time, but after seeing all of these awesome pages, I'm ready to pick it up again! My aunt did a beautiful scrapbook for me as a gift for Christmas. Our last trip was three years ago and I wrote a very lengthy trip report, and what she did was copy the report and used it as journaling in the scrapbook. All of the pictures corresponded with quotes from the report. It was such a neat gift! We made a deal for our next trip that I would write another report and then we would scrapbook it.

Dacky: I really love your Pixar pages! Each page is so well themed

Thanks!!! You should think about SCAL...it expands your Cricut use by miles!!!!! It is with the computer, but you hook the Cricut up to it...you can cut titles in any font on your computer. That is just one great feature...there are many more!!!!!!! It downloads easily ad is fun to use. You can get a trial version to see if you like it and there are many tutorials. Once you try it, you will be hooked and buy it!!!!!

Wow! So many great pages!

I didn't know this section of the Dis existed. Now I need to take pictures of my scrapbooking album from last year and post it here. What I really like though is that so far I've only goone through the last 5 pages of this thread and already I got so many ideas for my next scrapbook that I want to make. My trip is only next year, but it's never too early to be thinking about it. ;-) I especially love the hidden Mickeys, the double pages witht the text going on both, and using the index of pictures as an actual picture!

Looking forward to seeing even more pictures!

I have been an off and on scrapbooker for many years (mostly off!) BUT I bought tons of papers, embellishments, stickers, etc over the years. I also saved TONS of things from all my vacations. My daughter who is 13 1/2, has been compalining all summer how bored she is. So I hauled out all my scrapbook stuff and all the Disney pictures. We got all the pictures put in chronological order and we've been scrapping away! We've completed 1998 and 1999. Now we have to go backwards and do 2 WDW trips in 1997 (she wasn't even one year old yet and went 2X!)( I actullay had those 2 trips in albums...the rest were just in a big box of pictures!) We are having a lot of fun doing this project together and it has been so much fun looking at all the pictures of WDW and things that aren't there anymore (like the Skyway or Tapestry of Dreams Parade) or things that weren't there yet (like AK and Everest). Only 12 more trips to go!!! The nice thing is I already have all kinds of STUFF! :thumbsup2

Ok ... even tho I haven't finished my books from the last couple of trips I started our trip from 2 weeks ago ...

I'm usually BIG on using my Cricut BUT Provo Craft hasn't made any Playhouse Disney carts. :confused3 So ... I've used a bit of my Cricut and back to stickers and embellishments ...

dacky041208 ... keep those pages coming! They really are inspiring. I love seeing your work.

I love yours pages, Grumpymom!

and mixing the stickers with the cricut cuts is one of my favorite things to do...especially because well, sometimes it's nice not to paper-piece :rotfl:

Sharing on these boards is so wonderful...I am a bit of a closet scrapper when it comes to my circle of friends. This is such a wonderful place to share my creative side :disrocks:

I love seeing your pages too dacky041208! That Mickey holding the Fastpasses is so adorable! I may have to scraplift that one. I think my son saved some unused FPs. It would also be a great Mickey to hold the park passes as well. I have two more pages to share ... Mary Poppins and a JoJo page ... hopefully I'll get those posted soon.

It was!! I figured I got a holiday one, two font ones and one that I may or may not use. But, it works out to be $12.50 each, so it is well worth it!!!!!

And, after opening the package, I used Cuttin Up already today for a swap!!! LOL I just needed dacky to get me going obviously!!! It has a few fonts on it!!!!

I really only wanted the fonts and the joys of the season carts though, Wild Card is an extra one that I probably won't touch. But, still worth it!

ha I love that I have been so into scrapping this book. DH and I go to Disney next week (Thursday, not Sunday like the ticker said...I got a job that pushed it back. woops) and I told myself I won't be scrapping this next trip......but.....I probably will. I think I have a problem.

OK a couple of questions for WDWM...
First, love the Magical Milestones page. Where did the drawing of Mickey come from? It wont surprise me if one of your girls did it.
Second, how did you get all of the drawfs to sign one card?
Was I just tired or were you able to go back and resize for me?

Rita-- I'm sorry I forgot to resize, I'll do that right now!

The drawing came as part of the tour--we had to try and draw Mickey while riding the train (just like Walt did).

The dwarfs autographs were a special gift fom a CM. We had been waiting about an hour to see Ariel and the CM asked if he could put a MAW group ahead of us (we were next in line). DD said of course, no problem. The CM admired Sarah's homemade autograph book and chatted with us while we waited to see Ariel. He asked to "borrow" Sarah's book and took it backstage. He came back about 20 minutes later and surprised us with the autographs of the seven dwarfs & Tink (back before she did meet & greet) and complimented us on Sarah's politeness. It was a very magical surprise!

2 more ... this first one very simple. Just didn't think I needed to add more ... the paper is DCWV ... thought the trim on the paper was just enough with the Cricut lettering.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v226/lynnlb/DisneyScrapbook2010JoJo.jpg

And do you ever find yourself wanting a certain picture just so you can scrap it?

Wow! I have loved looking at everyone's beautiful work. I have been working on my December 2008 trip and realized that if I wait until the end to post the pictures, there would be over 100. I thought I would post the ones I already have, then post as I go so as not to leave myself such a big task at the end.

That being said, since I am not done, none of the journaling is done. I always finish the pages, put them in order, and then journal like a story (the elementary teacher in me).

These are totally out of order, some are much better than others, some are pre-cricut, some are post cricut.

Thanks for looking!

...finished the 2009 trip :) 4 days before we leave for our 2010 trip :rotfl2: I told DH tonight that I am going to try very hard not to scrap this upcoming trip...BUT i may start a book of just character meets (since they are one of my FAVS to scrap) and perhaps begin a book of resorts we've stayed in...because that is something we often take millions of pics of but I don't showcase them like they deserve!

Anyways, on to the goods...Crystal Palace! Of course, this was supposed to be a 2 page layout, and ended up as 4.

LOVE the lettering ... it's so cute! You have to scrap your next trip ... you know you want to. I think a resort book would be fantastic. I am still working on my past 4 trips ... I can't imagine ever being done. I just found some of my older pages in Photobucket but can't remember if I ever shared them on disboards. I don't want to post doubles.

I can't wait until Thursday! We're actually staying at Saratoga Springs...we were going to stay at OKW but changed that when I got my new job and pushed our trip back.

Ooooh Port Orleans is beautiful! I was just saying to DH last night that they should build "Tiana's" restaurant there...and have an animatronic Louis playing music like at Cosmic Rays :yay: I'd be there in a heart beat...I swear the more I watch the Princess and the Frog the more I love it!

aww thanks SIOH! The lettering was actually inspired by the Swaps board- if you haven't, check them out! They do AMAZING work!

Oh how I understand that sickness. It seems that Disney is all I ever scrap (I do take breaks here and there).
Glad to hear we'll be seeing more of your scrapping!
That Princess and the Frog tie-in at PORS would be fantastic. I told my husband on this past trip that I love PORS but it just needs a little bit more of "Disney" for me. My reason for loving the value resorts is that it seems everywhere your turn there is something Disney just staring you in the face. To me Disney is just all about little kids (and old kids like me) just running around and having fun. PORS just seems very laid-back (which is nice too). Guess it's nice to see the different sides of Disney.

These letters took me more time than I'd like to admit I spent...but worth it!

Dacky, those pages are beautiful. I love that the pretty colors of the first pages capture the elegance of the restaurant and how the bright colors of second pages capture the fun of the characters. I am in awe of those letters. How did you do your Tigger 't'?

I thought of Raja when I saw the tigers, hence the Jasmine paper.

Ryan did a great job taking these pictures. I can't believe how well they all lined up. We are hoping for a little more sunshine this year so the pictures across the lake turn out brighter.

awww...that T was the easiest! I just cut out a 2" orange t (either alphabetlicous or cuttin up...I can't remember right now). Then I just drew squiggly lines using a black marker :-D

icesk8abc...I may have to scraplift that world showcase idea! Cropping the pictures like that is just a beautiful idea! Thanks for sharing!

.

Glad I'm not the only one! I just got 2009 Disney photos printed out & told my kids I think I'm not going to scrap, I'll just put them in a glorified photo album. I have 3 Disney scrapbooks and NOT ONE single baby scrapbook & my eldest in 9!

You should have seen the looks on their faces. It's like I stabbed them by saying it'd be in photo album. :rotfl: So if it's a sickness, it's contagious!
