Beverly Lynn: Flight Schedule Question

:( Beverly Lynn: I am flying over the Thanksgiving holiday, in fact you helped me get my flights changed earlier this year, and I was wondering if you have any "feel" for how much the scheduling is going to change due to the recent events in New York? My question is this. I am currently on Delta flight 292 through Atlanta (trasferring to flight 1965) to MCO. It is in November. I know nobody may really know the answers about these things, but do you think it will change that much by then? Some flights are being reduced aren't they? If they are changed, will they let me know? Will they have to accommodate me through some other way. This is a pretty busy weekend to be travelling. I don't want to be stranded. What do you think? Should I just assume the flights are still going as planned? Any advice/info would be appreciated. Thanks. Julie

I was concerned about my Oct 5th flight with Delta. I just got through and spoke with a live voice. They told me they dont see any of the flights for Oct changing. I asked if the times would change even if flight number is still flying and they said no.

the next xhed change is oct. so if you are flying in oct you won;t be affected. the flights from now on will be. all I can say for now is after oct 5th you can do something if its changed. unfortunately for now you won't know before the oct change. and with all this going on they may just go ahead and really change the schedule especially if they scale down flights.

I know noone knows for sure but if it does change then how soon are you notified and how are you notified? Do you have to find other flights yourself or do they help. Our flight is Oct. 11th. How do they decide which flights to cancel?

If Delta may still change Oct flights when will they know? My MIL and husband are driving down Sept 30th. Should I be in that car? Or should they wait till Oct 1st so I know for sure?
