I'll keep my fingers crossed! I would love to make t-shirts for my family for Christmas! We have a tradition, where we get new pj's on Christmas Eve. (Even though we are all adults now!) We are taking a big family trip in June and staying at the Boardwalk Inn and BWV. I was thinking of making the shirts and buying pj pants for everyone!

I have never used Photoshop...but it looks like fun!! Do you have to be an expert at it to make designs like these? Or can the average person figure it out??

Usually I find some clipart and then I retrace over it and repaint if it looks pixelated. It's not hard, it just takes patience. I use a lot of premade styles and gradients for the font.

This trip we are taking our best friends' becuase, as much as they tease me, they decided they didn't want to ever go to WDW without me because they know I will have everything planned and we will have fun--but they are still teasing me and want to know when they get their copy of the notecards!

Because of the various personality types of our families--we are all either Goofy or Grumpy--and most of us are both depending on the time of day! We are calling our vacation the Goofy and Grumpy gathering. I am going to keep this shirt a secret before the trip!

This is the exact reason that I joined the DDA. I never thought that I would join in a forum with people that I didn't know. The people here are so giving that it absolutely amazes me every time I hear it. I only speak for myself, but I love ALL the information people share about their excitement. It enhances my love of all things Disney because the people on this forum are so giving and emulate what Disney is to me. Thanks for sharing the whole story!!!! It also makes me realize that I'm not the only compulsive planner! My family teases me too. Only 39 days and I'll be at Disney!!!!! Yeah!!!! :cool1: Have fun! I am ashamed to call myself a DIS member! I just saw this board for the first time today. Please forgive me for my ignorance. Words ca not explain my feelings of amazement, joy, and total WOW!



It must be one of those right place, right time things. DH leave Sunday for a rather long military trip and my 2 DD’s are a bit sad (2 & 4) even thou they are young they now that daddy leaves sometimes, but they still get very sad about it.



I have been looking for little goodies to give them every few days and I haven’t found much I like in the way of Disney, BUT NOW I FOUND YOU!

Thanks for posting. I couldn't remember where I got the Tink sitting down in the frame. Thank you for giving me permission to use it. I am going to add my mom's name, but that's all the editing I need to do. Also, you sent me the Tinkerbell head without the writing on the bottom. I wanted to modify the writing on the top as it is now much smaller than the Mom I wrote inside the head. I am going to pm you to ask for the psd file or if you please wouldn't mind deleting the writing. whichever is easiest for you?

A lot of time I make the background and borders myself. And If you click on my link below and scroll down a little, there are a few links that I've gotten clipart and graphics from. I also spend a lot of time on google image search. I take things from here and there and then put them all together.

The original idea for those frames came from a grumpy shirt. I used the scanned image to create a new frame graphic which you see in those shop & car designs. I will put up a copy of the frame when I can.

I have both Photoshop Elements 3.0 and just bought Photo Impact Pro. about a week or so ago.
I am wanting to learn how to do things like this. Problem is, no matter how long I sit here I can't get it done. I love this look of the round ornament or even some like the ones that Midnite has done with what looks like a glass ball. I have a fe ideas in my head and would love to get it done.
I just can't figure it out. So, do you or any of the other wonderful gals mind passing on some tips to help people like myslef - who are new and want to learn - out.

My advice is the do a search for free plugins. One of the plugins I use is the 3d sphere generator. I have no idea where I got it but it's out there somewhere for free. I made a sphere with that plugin and then I made another layer on top with a red circle and I set the blending options to multiply. And then I did the ears the same way, I just resized/shaped them to make them look like ears.
Most of my designs are made up of shapes with gradients. The most time I spend is finding clean clipart or cleaning up clipart by zooming in closely to erase or fix coloring and sometimes even reoutlining.

Just giving a bump to bring this thread back around for others to enjoy/use. There seems to be a lot of stuff you can use that is not personalized because the designer is no longer designing. I was inspired to find the designs when we were looking at some finished t-shirts on the EVERYONE, lets post pics thread. So many great designers have come and gone, but their great work will live on.
