Well the so called discounts at WDW really do smell.......I was all set to buy my first AP to get the good rates and this BRP rears its ugly head....I am disapointed but will still pay to play cuz thats the way I roll

When are you going?

I thought mine was great. I'm going the last week in January and I'm only paying $49 a night at ASMovies.

Going the first week of Feb and got Pop for $49 a night. That is excellent. The rack rate is $79, so that is about 40% off.

I'm really happy with my Jan. trip - just got a credit back on my card because the price went down. How many times does that actually happen!

Do you have to have an active AP to use the BRP or just need to have it at checkin?

I tried BR and never got a decent rate. In fact, I was quoted rack rate for all deluxes and for moderates I think like $30 off or something pathetic like that. However, I called the Dolphin and got an AP rate of $169.50. Fabulous. No non-refundable deposit, no 60 day window requirement.

Well the OP bragged ( 4 days ago) about the great rate for BWV renting DVC points. Did you think you were going to buy the annual pass at the DVC rate too? :rotfl:

While I admit that I don't like the BRP (many of our trips are taken spur-of-the-moment and I also like to know what I'm paying WHEN I first make my reservation), I got a great rate over Christmas. First night at a value is only $59!! I believe moderates were available for $79.

Well LakeAriel....I did get a good rate renting points but it was a lot of work...it used to be fun waiting for AP discounts to come out and see the rates..When it was my turn to see the ap rates BRP came out...I dont think im exagerating when i say most are not in favor of BRP. It may be good for a cheap value room but gone are the days of poly and wl rooms at 1/2 off.

.....And if you rent a room i see no need to pay extra if there is not more than 4 people in the room.....thay is just greedy if you ask me!!!!
