Following some hot debate on the Trip Planning Forum surrounding the subject of Single Digit Dances I thought it would be interesting to post a poll and see what people really thought of them :)
So do you like the SDD threads :) or would you rather see them banished to room 101 :( Please vote and the results will give everyone a good indication of what the majority feels :teeth:
Edited thread title due to posting problems

Are you going to add a poll to this thread, Alan?

I'm too slow - you already have!
I like SDD's - they are a great way to share in the excitement of somebody so close to their trip, who may have been waiting such a long time to get tjis close. They do no harm!

Wow that was quick Frances :)
I was just setting things up but I posted it and then got an error the first time due to the thread title being too long. I had to set it up in 2 statges in the end :)
The lines are now open!!!

I voted - I like them :)
I remember how excited I always get when my trip is that close and it is so nice to see friends from the Dis feel like that. Equally, I like to share in their excitement too!!

I like them, it gives me a chance to do the 'banana boogie', though I usually put mine on the UK Community board

Well, I think by now most of you will gather how I am voting.
Having said that I really expect most people to like them.
Me, however, to put it mildly cannot stand them - didn't want to word it more aggresively despite really wanting to.
Can I add some more controversy - how many of the people who like them are ladies? Not that it matters but......? Maybe it's not a 'blokes thing'

I do the sdd as I think its great (as I posted before) but also because whats the point of having a countdown timer if your not going to post and celebrate when it goes down to less than ten days

Sharing experiences and looking forward to your holidays, meeting new friends etc - what this site is all about.
I cannot wait until next August for our next Florida vacation.
...but I still hate the SDD, with those bananas etc...
Please move to the Community Board?
...oh and fellas come on will you , get voting!!!!
Not that it will make much difference always knew it was a lost cause.
Guess people will keep sticking them on the forum and I will keep passing them by...

Have to say, I'm not sure what harm they do. Some of the exchanges that go on during some of the debates are a lot worse!!!

I like them even though I have never done my own since being on this forum.
I didn't know about them when I went on my last trip to WDW which was last Sept (04), so I didn't get to do one.
But, knowing that it is going to be years and years before we can go back, I am going to do a huge SDD when I finally do get to do one.
Question - can you do SDD for other trips or just Disney related trips? :confused3

I enjoyed my SDD last week, unfortunately my excitement has been spoiled a bit this week but hopefully by Friday when I do the 1day dance I'll be bouncy again

I went for not bothered. I read people’s SDD posts and I’m very happy to share their excitement but don’t actually post on them. I don’t see that they do any harm and you can always ignore them if you’re not interested!

Ah , new my old mate Rob would come to my rescue.
I fully agree and think it is a Community Thread thing.

I'd have to agree - it's probably more of a Community board thing. Then again, I never read (let alone post) them so I can't say they really bother me... :)
