Do children need to have some kind of picture ID to travel on an airplane now?

We are supposed to fly out of PIT next Friday (rescheduled from today). I am taking DS's birth certificate just in case. I had thought of just taking a Xerox copy, but now that all of this has happened I may take the original instead.

Well, what do you think about for a minor who looks about 25? (I don't have a drivers license yet) Should I get a passport?

CD,
I would bring your birth certificate and any other type of photo id (school id). You also may want to think about getting a picture id from the DMV. What this is is that it looks like a drivers license, but it is just an id that has your picture, name, address, date of birth. This is just a suggestion, but it may help.
