I was just wondering if any other solos had already done this. It's in Illuminations from 1:30-4:30 and you get a free 5X7 picture. If so, how was it? What characters are there? And exactly what is the procedure for getting your free picture? And also, I just wanted to know if any other adult solos had done it-usually I don't feel at all self-concious standing in line for the characters, but for some reason I think I might here.

I did it back in July, and it was an awesome experience. Please note that the location is Innoventions (not Illuminations). It was in the one on the side of the park wwhere the Land is. When I got there, there was a curtained door roped off and a cast member was standing in front of it. I gave the cast member my name, and he looked at my Visa card, taking down the last four digits. He gave me a voucher for a picture, and lead me into a room, where Mickey and Pluto were waiting for me. They were very playful--Pluto was crawling around and sniffed my bag looking for food.
They took about a dozen pictures of me. I got to chose the picture I wanted at the picture center near Spaceship Earth. It took about an hour for the pictures to make it to the camera center.
They have different characters available throughout the day, so if you want a specific character, ask before you go in. Folks in line with me got Goofy, and another group got Mickey and Minnie.
Overall it was a great experience, and I highly recommend it.

Oops, that's what I meant-it's been that kind of day, can you tell? I do need to see Illuminations!

Never heard of this! Is is just for Disney visa holders, or any visa holder?
(Sounds like it's only for Disney visa holders :guilty: )

I had mine with Mickey and Pluto back in July or August. Mickey had his arm around me and was holding my Pal Mickey. Pluto was down in front of me holding another Pal Mickey, and I had my hand on top of his head. Several pics were shot, but that was the best one. It was fun, but then I've never had a problem with character encounters as that's my favorite thing at WDW! :teeth:

I once stood in line for 2 hours (in the hot Californian sun), all by myself (23 yers old), to get a picture with Minnie Mouse at her house! I was surrounded by small children and their parents. It didn't bother me at all!!!

At the time, it was Minnie and Goofy. Not a problem being solo - the characters actually seemed to ham it up a bit more - Goofy was all hugs...the photos (they took 4 and then another with my camera) came out good. Very easy process. When I picked my free one out, the CM added Goofy and Minnie's autograph to the photo - really cute.

Went in October for my Birthday, and Mickey and Pluto were there. I got in the room and they were hiding and I had to find them (48yo playing hide and seek and having fun--Pluto stuck his nose out) The pictures were so good, I ended up with 3 of them Lots of fun

It was great! Go for it. My picture came out great--me with Mickey, Donald & Pluto. I had a Christmas card made out of it, that's how great it was.
