BRP Question about dates

I saw that the BRP was extended to April 13th...we are planning a trip that extends to April 17th or 18th. So does this work like when you book in one season and your stay lasts into another, or do you only get the best rate for the specific dates? I'm probably not being clear - for instance, if you book a trip that starts during the regular rate season, but during your trip the season changes to peak, i've been told you will stay at the original rate you booked for the entire trip - regular. With the BRP, do we know if you would receive the discount for the entire trip if the trip extends beyond the end date?

As you sai, you usually do get the rate for your first night during your entire stay. However, I just tried to get rates for April 12-17, but it would not let me do it, so I guess you may need to wait until after they extend the BRP rates to check.

We were looking for Best Rate from Apr 9th to Apr 14th (we already had AAA) but there was absolutely no availability for the night of the 14th showing on the Best Rate site. Our TA booked the Best Rate for the first 4 nights and the final night we are keeping as AAA.

From what I understand it you can only book at Best Rate Prices for the nights that show availability and any other nights would have to be at rack rate or AAA or whatever other rate is available. I just read on another thread that the Best Rate Program may not be extended past Apr 14th

I would try and get what you can at Best Rate now and get AAA for the rest of the stay (get the TA to link the reservations) and then if you can't get any other AP discount at least you have the best available discount.
