We have already bought our tickets from Delta for our December trip and are wondering if we shouldn't drive instead. We are still leaning towards flying anyway, but want to weigh all our options. If we decide to drive, would we have any chance of getting a refund? DH is planning on calling Delta, but I just thought I would ask here first. Thanks!

I was wondering the exact same thing!!!
We are suspose to fly the end of September!!! I was not scared until last night when they caught more people trying to get on planes!!! Now, I'm scared!!! We are thinking about doing the 25 hour drive instead!!!!
We also have tickets through DELTA... Please let me know what you find out!!!

As of right now, Delta is only offering full refunds to passengers ticketed on flights of September 11-18th. All others (as of now) will incur Delta's regular change/cancellation penalties. More details on Delta's website. (http://www.delta.com/home/press_url/reissue_refund/index.jsp) Information is always subject to change and updating.

So judging from the info at Delta's web site, we either fly or lose the money invested in the tickets. We will most likely fly then, unless conditions at the time warrant losing $800. :)

you will be safer now flying than you ever were before. if you push the issue I am sure they would refund you or at least waive the fee and let you use them at some other time.
