Summary of our short trip.......

we woke up Monday am.....knowing that we are going home today......we had breakfast at Tubbies and decided to walk the hotel around and take all the video and pictures that we could show to everyone at home......I will tell you this......THE DOLPHIN is a gorgeous hotel and we enjoyed our stay.......we waited for our towncar to pick us up at 2:30 AND got to the airport a little after three.....got checked in and waited and waited and waited.......Our flight to Philadelphia was cancelled.....as were alot of the northeast ones were because of the weather.....I guess it was bad in places...........my husband tells the person ....we do not want to sleep in the airport......can you please find us a way home......so he does......we left at five fifteen on a flight to Washington DC.....Reagan International Airport......what a beautiful airport.....it is simple spacious and gorgeous.......flying into there ...we could see the lights of DC all lit up.....the Capital....the monuments......and the Pentagon.....it was just beautiful........we had been checked twice in a security area......never had that happen before.....but as my husband said.....it is okey with us......the more the merry.....we finally leave Ronald Reagan Airport and head on home.......they put us on a little bitty jet that looked like it was brand new.....very very nice.......but still nervous........I like the bigger ones.....we manage alright and fly into the Portland Maine Jetport at 11:15....PM.....this is unbelievable that in less then 8 hours......a terrorists leaves the same airport that we just happily landed at .....someone that is so unbelievably filled with hatred ....is in our Airport......this blows my mind.......I am still walking around in a daze....as all of the world is......I am home.......I am very happy to be here......Our trip to Disney seems like a fog to me now.......but we did have a great time.......the Dolphin .....the CM"S .....the people in our US and the world that all go to Disney......to be like us......happy and contented people.......I saw all types of people.......from all walks of lives.....we do so live in a great country........

Thanks so much for posting your trip reports. Sounds like you had a wonderful and relaxing time. It was wonderful to be able to come to this boards and "get away"for at least a little while from the changed world we're now living in.

Glad you had a safe trip. The Dolphin is nice. I'm wondering where we'll park now for our trip in November! The Portland Jetport will be a different experience next time.
