I have the ability to get any of these for relatively the same price through DH's work for the time where we want to go. Which one should we pick?
Us: Myself, DH, and DD who will be turning 2 either during or right before our trip. princess: We NEED an in-room washer/dryer, will have a car but want to be as close to the Magic as possible (going nowhere other than WDW), and will probably use it mostly as a place to relax/sleep/take afternoon breaks. We stayed at Orbit One in May and liked it well enough.
Silver Lake
Villages at Mango Key
Summer Bay
Grand Lake
Celebration
Bryan's Spanish Cove
Royal Palms
Cypress Pointe
Cypress Pointe Grand Villas
Thanks!! :earboy2:

if you can get a 2-bedroom Cypress Pointe is close.
So is Silver Lake - but Cypress Pointe gets better reviews.
also close is Byran's Spanish Cove
the Royal Palms is a Marriott
Celebration WOrld resort allows pets - some people love it!!! others hate it....

Out of that list, I would pick CPGV. My friends stayed there and they loved it. We will be there Dec. 3rd and I'll report back when we get home. :teeth:

Thanks for the thoughts!
I think we're down to...
Cypress Pointe
Cypress Pointe Grande Villas
Bryan's Spanish Cove
Silver Lake
Any ideas?? I'm truly lost...what's the diff between CP & CPGV?

Personally between both Cypress Ptes I would choose the regular one as all the units were recently totally redone. The Grand Villas side is still mostly the original insides with some replacements even though they are newer overall then the regular side. Its a matter of 2 sides of a resort, each seperate but can use the facilities. Great location too on the Lake Buena Vista side
I would also say on your list Silver Lake is nice and also has a nice location on the other side of WDW and has a back road entrance.
Royal Palms is a Marriott but an older one that gets some good and some not so great reviews. I think many expect alot from a Marriott and I am sure its nice but not as nice as some of the newer ones

We were at Orbit One last time and liked the back entrance...are the distances relatively equal between the back entrance and Cypress Pointe? We're going the first or second week in December, so I'm not too stressed about traffic...

cypress pointe has different entrances - you can use I4, the Downtown Disney entrance, or even further ID 535. you are on 536.
I would do with the DD.
Silver Lake is on BLack Lake road for the front entrance, their back entrance is Sherberth road - so they are less than 1/4 mile from WDW property.
cypress pointe gets better reviews.
