I was wondering if there are any books to aid in driving down to Orlando. I know there is one that people from Ontario have been using, is it any good for those traveling from the Maritimes???
Thanks.

In Ontario alot of people swear by "Down the I-75" but of course that will not help you!! I was at Chapters and saw a book "Down the I-95" (not sure if that was the exact title or not) but that would be the main interstate you would be travelling on I believe....Actually they had a lot of books on travelling to Florida...maybe they would have what you are looking for at your local Chapters/bookstore. Good Luck! :flower:

Not sure of your exact route, but suspect you would end up on I95 at some point.

Dave Hunters ALONG THE I-75 is a book you should not travel to Disney without if you are driving the I-75 to Florida it covers everything from gas stations to construction and bypasses etc.

You could go to your CAA travel agency, they could give you some Disney guides if you are a member, and even make you an itinerary from your home to Orlando!!! :teeth:

Hi
I joined CAA and got a TripTik and maps. Some of my route will be I-95. I requested a route that avoided some of the major cities. I alos got a discount on our room at Disney!
Hope this helps.
When is your trip?

Hi there,
We drove down late August 2005, we had CAA trip tik and the I95 book, the I95 book was really great, really helped with the "where are now?" from my 3 boys (ages 12 yrs and twins age 9 yrs). We started on the wrong foot and listened to ppl who didn't know (in-laws, LOL) and we left a day early, bad move, threw our timing way off. We drove through the night because my DH works night shifts so we thought that would be best, wrong!!! On the way back, we had a real plan, we drove the first day 12 hours and stopped for the night in virginia then the next day we drove for 23 hours and ended up on our doorsteps. We were going to stop for another night but we were really making great time. Sleeping in the van is not the greatest sleep if you can call it that!!! We did buy while we there a portable DVD player and that was really great, they didn't watch it the whole time but when they started to get restless after supper and we wanted a few more hrs in , it was perfect!
If you have nay questions pls don't hesitate to ask!!! I still have "the vacation is over" depression, I am still trying to talk about WDW everyday, keeps the dream alive , we will go again in Aug 2008, need that much time to save!!!
