We are due to leave from Ontario by car on Sat. morning. I am worried about waits at the border, high gas prices ($4/gal!!) and the possibility of not being able to get back if something else happens. I feel that our disney vacation is quite trivial compared to what is happening in New York and DC... our thought are with those people. What should we due? What is your opinion please? Must decide sooon!

You MUST go... don't let terrorism win.... As for the gas prices, don't worry, prices are back down... immediately following the terrorist activity prices did rise to an extreme, but have since fallen back to where they belong... I believe the wait at the border is 2 hours, but you might want to reconfirm that somehow....

I say GO... don't let them win...

Please take your trip. Be prepared for extra time at the border. Gas prices in our area did not change at all. We cannot let the terrorists take our freedoms.

I agree that gas prices are back down. The ones that gouged the public are going to pay for it :) (according to our state general attorney).

I can't comment on crossing the border since I never have.

Only you can make the decision,
there are many who say go, people who feel it is important to carry on so the terrorists do not win. That would be the right decision for them. There are many (probably friends and family) who say don't. If you are not comfortable going you should cancel, but if you feel it is important to maintain and carry on then you should go.
We were to fly out tomorrow, 1st we were just wondering if there would be a flight but then it all began to sink in and we felt we had to cancel. Once we made the decision the knot in my stomach went away so I know we made the right one -for us. Not to say it isn't disappointing it is, I unpacked some of our bags today and really felt it, and telling the kids was very hard but they have learned a lesson about how doing the right thing is not always easy.
Good luck in your decision

We decided not to go. Too much uncertainty right now. Our biggest worry is if something else happens we may not beable to get back across the border. Not really in the mood right now anyway. Disney refunded our deposit with no problem. Will try again another time.

Pete: I think you made the right choice after seeing the border on TV. I don't think this is a time to leave your country and re-enter. There will be very long lines.
