I woke up with butterflies in my tummy, as the day went on I felt strong in spirit, by the afternoon I was having heart palputations (still am). I think many folks feel the same. So I thought it would be nice if we could share a LITTLE GOOD NEWS TODAY! I'll start:

dd had friends come over at lunch today and she was thrilled! Happy kids make me day!

Hi Sandra! Yes I think we need to start a "little good news" thread. At 9:30 yesterday while this tragedy was going on I found out that my cousins from Scotland were at that time (and not knowing what was going on in the US) were arranging a flight over to see us! They will be (hopefully) landing at Pearson at 10:50 am this Friday! They the only relatives that I have on my Mom's side and they mean sooo much to me. This has been a rollercoaster ride for me as one minute I'm in tears and the next I'm smiling and thinking of the 2 weeks they'll be with us! My DB and DSIL will be leaving on Sat. evening to fly to London (with Air Transat too!:( )and I'm concerned for my whole family flying around these skies now.

Thanks Sandra for letting me "talk" a little. I really needed that!;) I am still in shock and wish this was just a bad dream.

Something thoughtful - my daughters grade 3 class already by Tuesday afternoon had organized a bake sale to raise money for the children who lost parents.

Something else - our puppy finally had his cast removed from his leg (it's been on half his life). Now that he's been babied for 6 weeks we can't get him to snap out of it! (He still thinks he needs to be babied). He's a coon-hound and has the sad eyes and barks so he can really play it up!
