:cheer2: Three cheers for the new Space Mountain! :cheer2:

DH and I had one day to spend in DL on our California trip last week. We took forum advice and got a FP for SM and then headed off to PPF. There was a mad rush to SM for the ride and FP and we now know why! We couldn't believe the updates on this ride! It was so much smoother and just an overall improved SM experience. I wish we would've been able to go on it many more times, but with just one day, and a super crowded day at that, it was tough to get to all the rides we wanted to go on.

I wonder if WDW will follow suit with the updated SM in the future?? Anyone know if there have been talks????

I rode this ride in the very front the first time since the renovation...it was weird. More fun to sit in the back.

SM was awesome! It is one of my wife's favorites in WDW... but since I was in California on business, I couldn't resist the opportunity to go! I loved the new SM... and can't wait to return with my family!

Just went on the new and improved Space Mountain last night. It's SO much smoother and it also seems a lot faster although that might just be because it was so windy in there. It looks a lot darker, it's much harder to see the track or any other riders. It was a pretty sweet ride....and we only had to wait half an hour! The only thing I didn't like much was the music, it was pretty cheesy stuff, my friend and I started laughing because of it.

Yes! They have really made nice updates to Space Mountain! I can actually ride it now without aches and pains after the ride. ;) It is very smooth.

I agree, its wonderful! We rode it at least 5 times a day for our September trip and decided it was the only thing we would use a fastpass up for! WDW does need to follow suit, theirs seemed very lame when we rode it last month after doing Disneyland the month before. Glad you had a great time on your day at Disneyland!

I rode SM the day before it was close for rehab. The ride was so jerky I felt like I had been beat with a baseball bat after I got off. I'm going to DL this coming March and can't wait to try the new version.
