First and foremost my heart goes out to the people in the Cities of the New York and Washington they will forever be in my heart and prayers.

The events that occurred today will change the way we live from this point on forever. I will forever be haunted by the images I have seen on the television.

I like most of you have been glued to the TV set and have been nearly numb from this event. But I have never been as ashamed of individuals as I was 10 minutes ago.

I just got a call from some friends to told me "your never gonna believe what's on ebay"
A sick individual was actually selling burnt papers gathered from the Twin Towers disaster site, not to mention there are over 600 Twin Tower items all new just recently posted selling for ridiculous prices. I guess what gets my goat is there are people actually buying these items.

Some animals will do anything at anybody expense all for the sake of a profit, its like the gas stations saying that the Saudi's are going to be mad at us if we retaliate, and cut off our oil. Some stations have raised their prices to over $3.00 a gallon, and again some fools are running out to buy gas.

So I have learned something today, a lot of people have asked me what's your definition of a shark, the person on ebay selling souvenirs from the Twin Towers disaster… That's a shark!

My wife just told me Ebay Item 1636563985 has been pulled, as are all the others, so there is hope for this world after all. Ebay you have my thanks.

So please no matter what religion you are even if your not religious at all, take a moment and give a special prayer for the tens of thousands of people that are effected by this tragedy.

I would've expected no less out of eBay. It was terrible - all of it.

Heard on the news late last night that Ebay had announced it would not allow any such auctions to take place. That statement was followed by one indicating a number of people had attempted to circumvent Ebay's decision. The burnt papers listing was one prominently mentioned.

The whole idea and those who attempted to implement it are beneath contempt. Just had to add my expression of disgust and horror.

As you all have said, my heart and prayers are with all of our fellow Americans.

The thought did occur to me that some idiot would try to sell items left from this tragedy......and low and behold I see this thread. Absolutely disgraceful.

Years ago, a collectible sports cards company was criticized for creating a set of serial killer trading cards. It was eventually pulled off the market (yes, you could buy them where kids buy Topps trading cards too), but some people pay a pretty penny for them because of their scarcity. When the German wall came down, people sold pieces of it with "certificates of authenticity". When little Elián was rescued from the sea, someone auctioned a piece of rubber as his raft. When Tim Mc Veigh was executed, someone auctioned The Turner Diaries. I just know that all of a sudden, we'll find twin towers souvenirs all over ebay, maybe even wreckage debris.

Some people just lack basic human sensitivity.

we need to pray for sick people like that, as much as it disgusts us...

there is always someone desperate enough out there to try it. But WHO on this earth was so barbarian as to actually bid on it? It is a rhetorical question not one I am really expecting any answers to.
