Is there anyplace at DL or CA where one could take a nap? Any grass a person can sleep on?

This is a serious question.

The only place I can think of is outside DL near the DL hotel to nap. There is a plenty grassy area to rest. I am not sure if you are allowed to do that sort of thing because I don't think I have seen anyone nap at DL. :confused3 Otherwise you may have to nap on the park benches.

I know there is a picnic area around Guest Services outside the park, but that's about it.

If you go to the 50 years of DL area on main street (I forgot the name). They have displays of E-tix and a model of DL park and such. There are benches inside and it's nice and cool.
I don't know if they'll let you nap inside but it seems like a nice place to take a breather.

In the past i have just gone into the great moments auditorium (as previous poster mentioned) and snoozed a bit.

If you explain to the CM that you are really beat, but your party wants to keep playing, they'll usually let you camp out in the back.

The lobby of the Grand Californian has comfy couches and chairs where you can nap. There are also benches, chairs etc on the upper floor areas.

Can't think of any grass knolls to sleep on, but I can vouch for the previous suggestions. The exit to 50th Celebration presentation has nice comfy benches. As for rides, Honey I Shrunk the Kids is air conditioned and dark heh. The Grand Californian lobby is great to lounge. On the backside of the Grand Californian (behind the bar, outside) there are rocking chairs by a fireplace.

This was a few years ago, I think in 1996 when I was so tired, I literally fell asleep at the table outside of the Riverbelle Terrace. I know I slept for a long time because my sister eventually gave up on trying to wake me! I sometimes nod off a little on Pirates of the Caribbean. In the one pitch black cave where you hear, "No fear hath he of evil curses says you?" I never think to sleep on benches because I would hate for someone to come by and make fun of me. The chairs in the lounge of GC sound like an inviting place to snooze. Sometimes when you're so tired, every place appears to be a welcome sight to crash upon!

Thanks for the ideas! I might be out there this winter and far, far from a hotel room near downtown LA.

Maybe you could head over to one of the hotel pools and catch a few zzzzzz's on one of the lounge chairs?

I'll second the 50 year area entrance area and add the exit area as well.

Here's a couple other places to check out in Disneyland, there are some nice shady benches (late afternoon) by Chip N Dale's Tree house in Toontown and in the Main Street theater and the area below the Hungry Bear Restaurant. In DCA the animation building is dark and cool.

There really isn't any grassy areas (like you'd find in EPCOT), but the one's mentioned should do. Actually the most deserted place in DL is the new Winnie the Pooh ride, but I don't think they'd let you sleep there.

I saw someone sleeping on the concrete half wall underneath the Golden Gate Bridge at DCA. :ssst:

Are you sure that wasn't part of the "atmosphere", to make it seem like the real Golden Gate Bridge? ;)
