This is copied from the CK message board and I also heard about it at my LSS, The Chocolate Scrapbook. It seems like it will be a lot of fun and $25 is not bad at all for a full day crop with lunch and snacks. :)

Hello Louisville Scrapbookers!

Announcing the beginnings of a great new opportunity for you to scrapbook and help a good cause as well! The Salvation Army will be holding all-day crops, once a quarter, to sponsor different aspects of our ministry. This fall's, "CROPTOBERFEST," will be held to help support The Salvation Army's Hurricane Relief Efforts.

October 22nd is the day! The cost is only $25 pre-registered by 10/17; $30 after this day or at the door. Cost includes a delicious homemade lunch of chili, fresh cornbread and all the trimmings with homemade brownies for dessert. We'll provide other light snacks and drinks throughout the day, but if you have a special snack you'd like to share with the group or something you can't crop without, please feel free to bring it to the table.

We're putting together a wonderful goodie bag of surprises for you including items from the Hallmark store. Great stuff. We also will have scrapbooking door prizes throughout the day.

We have great vendors for you as well! Creative Memories, Stampin' Up and Leaving Prints consultants will be there. The Chocolate Scrapbook store is supporting our event as well and will be contributing prizes, holding a $2 make n take with all the proceeds going right back to The Salvation Army's Hurricane Relief fund.

We're finalizing classes as well and they will be announced shortly. A class using punches making borders and tags will definitely be held with that instructor donating the class fee of $5 right back to the Hurricane Relief as well. Class synposis will be out very soon.

Payment for the crop can be mailed to The Salvation Army c/o Captain Wilma Mason 1010 Beecher St. Louisville, KY 40256. Remember it's only $25 for 7 hours of cropping including lunch, snacks, goodie bags and prizes.

If you have any questions email Marion at Marion_Durham@uss.salvationarmy.org or Wilma_Mason@uss.salvationarmy.org. Or call us at The Salvation Army at 361-2397.

Thank you for your support ladies and feel free to pass this information along to other cropping friends. Get a group together and I will see you there!
