We rented a timeshare last year thru Armed Forces Vacation Club....and stayed at Summer Bay Resort. Really loved it. Even though we reserved for a week (8 days / 7 nights), we checked out a day early because we were headed to my DMIL in New Smyrna Beach for a few days too. No problem leaving early....of course, no refund. It was still an awesome deal for 4 adults. Also, the $249/wk (last years price) is NOT taxed. So it was $249 total for 2 bedroom condo near pool & facing lake on 1st flr.

My questions now are: If I use SkyAuctions for a place like Sheraton Vistana for instance, & win a 7 night auction....what if we need to check out a day early. Is that ok? (obviously no refund)

And, is there any tax added to my $195+$15 + BID?

Being military we get spoiled not paying tax at SOG for room or tickets & thru Armed Forces Vacation Club. You forget how fast those FL resort taxes can add up.

The $210 (195+15) INCLUDES taxes so nothing extra is added, aside from your winning bid, ofcourse.

And I've heard it's no problem to check in early/leave early.......just let the resort know ahead of time.

when are you going?

sorry you didn't get your first bid.

if you wait until the last minute to bid (not that you are register) you stand a better chance.

also if you use the autobid function - this really helps you win.
