Most us have been there and ocme back. I now am in the midst of the post holiday blues and want to get back there. This has got me thinking, what would you do diffently next time, what would you do again and what would you do that you did not, I am looking for some ideas here.

I would do the same......
Book the wishes specialty cruise, did that once before it was wishes.
Book AKL
Go to universal first with FOTL staying onsite
V&A
Fantasmic Package with BD
Air boat ride at Boggy Creek
Use Photopass, it's great
Ohana with a window seat for wishes

Things I want to do but didn't on last trip
Walk all the way around Epoct WS
Go on BTM
Visit California Grill and Jiko
Play mini golf
See Spectro

Things I might do differently
Take less luggage out there
Might book the contempary as the prices now are quite low for a monorial resort.
Try and get up earlier in the mornings
NOT go to Narcossees
Sunset instead of sunrise safari (I mustbe the only person, but I was a bit dissapointed with the sunrise one)
More time at the beach

When I go back (in a month!!!) Im planning to take things a bit slower, in the past Ive spent all day in the parks and by the second week end up feeling really tired and parked out! This time Im going to try and break it up a bit with a couple more days at the waterparks and also have a more relaxing time by going back to hotel for a swim on the days we go to the parks.

By the way - you people who mentioned mini golf - do it - it's excellent. I haven't been for 4 years and nine months but going again in December!

Things I would do again

Chef Mickey's - do it every trip

Fireworks and parades in all the parks

Stay at the polynesian

Get up early and take the afternoon nap/swim

Romantic meal whilst kids at neverland club

Stay in DVC resort

Breakfast in bed

Things I wouldn't do again

Hoop de doo review - biggest waste of time and money i spent in WDW

Breakfast at the castle - might try lunch but breakfast was the worst one i had there

Victoria And Alberts - overrated and unfriendly service

Things I'm going to try next time

4 night cruise - so excited

Watching Electrical Water Pageant (think this is wishes now?) from my lagoon view room at the poly

Even more chilling at the pool during the day

La Nouba (Cirque) - another can't wait to do

First stay at SSR - can't wait - no more crowded buses to DTD

Kennedy Space - a new off-site thing to do

Focus more on what we do first, rather than where we want to eat - have eaten at almost every single place on site - and as long as we do a character meal and the odd nice dinner, it's not worth getting stressed over.

Show my new partner, who's never been, how wonderful wdw is.

things we'll definitely do again:
--all 4 parks
--BB
--TL especially crush and gusher and the wave pool)
--Wishes (we see this as many times as we can each visit)
--fishing excursion on bay lake (we've done this 5 years in a row - great fishing!)
--horse riding at tri circle d ranch (fort wilderness)
--biking
--boating (little mouse boats)
--segway round the world tour (we've done it twice)
--wishes cruise
--prime time cafe
--whispering canyon
--citricos at the GF
--cafe at the GF
--tangierine cafe in morocco
--earl of sandwich in DTD
--sweet tomatoes
--stay at the WL (both concierge and standard are great - either is fine)
--stay at the GF (both concierge and standard are great - either is fine)
--use the GF spa and health club - wonderfully relaxing and the work out room is very nice

things we'll never do again:
--hoop de doo review - the worst thing i've ever experienced at WDW -terrible
--California Grill - ditto above - terrible, especially considering all the good reviews it gets - horrifyingly noisy for what's supposed to be a good restaurant
--illuminations cruise - also terrible
--stay at the CR - the 14th floor concierge was horrible
--stitch's great escape (bring back alien)
--Universal - hate it
--IoA -- hate it
--Sea World - hate it
--Discovery Cove - enjoyed it, but once was enough (we prefer the dolphin swim place that's near us - where we get to scuba dive with the dolphins and for a lot less money)
--car stunt show at MGM -- horrifyingly hot and boring (bring back the hunchback of notre dame)
--Disney Cruise - though we LOVED this, it's just not a very good cruise for young singles (my kids ages - 18 to early 20's)....

things we've done before and might do again:
-- Cirque de Soleil (we've already seen it 3 times....it's great so we might go again)
--comedy club in PI (we usually enjoy it, though it's not a must do)
--stay at OKW - we like the 2 BR villa for long stays - lots of room to spread out in
--stay in the yosemite suite at the WL - fun room and beautiful view
--visit Kennedy Space Center - we really enjoyed our visit there a few years ago...next time we visit maybe we'll even try one of those all day astronaut programs...

things we've never done and would like to do:
--dixie stampede - it sounds like fun and we love horses
--horseback ride at the riding school at the hyatt grand cypress - it's supposed to be fabulous, but we've never made it there (even when we stayed at the villas there)
--go to a camp fire at fort wilderness -- we've meant to do this every year but somehow never get there
--watch an outdoor movie at fort wilderness - ditto what i wrote above
--flag raising ceremony at the WL - i only found out about this in august - my husband and i would love to do this....my kids, who have been expats practically from birth, probably wouldn't get it....but for me....well....the thought of raising the stars and stripes over WL sends chills down my spine....i'm sure i'll cry....
--probably lots of other things that i can't think of now.

very far away from California - you'd have to fly for about 18 hours from where you live to get to where i live (plus whatever time in new york to change planes)......not exactly in the cards i'm sure...

i don't live in the UK either....but i don't live in the US, so i find the information on this board extremely helpful.....actually, in general i find this board to be one of the best ones here.....and the people are very nice....
i don't think it matters where you're from....

We just returned from our first trip ever to Disney, had a fabulous time :) Our list:

Things we would repeat
Staying in Villa - private pool was awesome!
Cinderellabration - it was so fantastic there aren't words :)
All the rides at Epcot/Magic Kingdom/MGM - superb, especially Tower of Terror and Splash Mountain!
Flying with BA - good flight, excellent baggage allowance
My Christmas shopping - i've bought for everyone and got some great deals out there
Upgrading car to a Mitsubishi Gallant, very comfortable ride!!!

Things we will do but didn't
*Universal/Wet n Wild
*Fantasmic (always seemed to rain when we wanted to see it)
*Stay on-site for 2-3 days
*Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach

Things we won't do again
*My husband won't ride Mission to Mars again, got very sick on it. I loved it though ;)
*Boggy Creek Airboats - that is 30 minutes of my life I won't get back...if you want to do an airboat ride go to the Everglades, the local ones are a waste of money. Plus, if you don't like the idea of insects flying into your face this is NOT the activity for you! :confused3
*Animal Kingdom - very disappointing as an amusement park and as a zoo, compared to British animal parks/sanctuaries it was kinda pants (imho).
*Leave my credit and bank cards at home (how stupid am I???!!!) :rotfl: Thank goodness for Western Union and my sister :teeth:

Oh, great thread. I haven't been on the boards for a few weeks.

Do again -

Fly virgin, it was great.
Stay off site in LBV for some of the time
Ride up front with the driver on the monorail (we did this times)
Watch the fireworks at MK from the flower garden.
Watch the night parade from frontierland

Not to do again

AK - What a disappointment
Go to Walmart with the boys - wasted time, i wanted to go to the parks

New things

Go for three weeks.
Book a couple of nights on site. I don't care what it costs, I want to stay at the Grand Floridan and watch the fireworks from my balcony! I can dream.
See some more of Florida, the beaches etc

Oh, I'm going to have to stop dreaming. I need to go now. Role on 2007!

JUst thought of a new thing I would do... High tea at the GF, that looks like a nice relaxing afternoon thing to do. IU had also said I would never stay at the Contemprary, but some of the prices look like making it very attractive for a monorail resort.
