Am Im Missing something...AAA cheaper than Code?

Maybe Im missing something..
Nov 3-4 1 night stay.
Had a reservation for a Mod. Changed my mind. Its only 1 night, Im landing late and leaving early the next day.. So why pay the extra $.
Okay.. So I call Disney, ask for the BJV code for Pop. Great they have it..99 dollars a night WITH Tax..

Then Im looking threw my paperwork and come up with my Oct travel plans, AAA rate at All Star Sports 94.85 a night. 5 dollars Cheaper!!
Called Disney back, told them AAA for Pop, and it was 5 dollars less for the night, so I switched it over, (thats 2 Mickey Ice Creams for me)

Did I miss something.. Arent Disney Codes usually cheaper than AAA?
I missed getting my Best Rate AP holder Discount for those dates. So I settled for AAA..

Same thing happened to me! AAA discount for POP Nov. 18-24 room only cheaper than the code. CM said to keep what I have. :confused3

The code discount is a flat $ amount off ($10 for value, $35 moderate, $65 deluxe). AAA is a percentage, so it can be better. I think with occupancy rates high, they don't need to offer deep discounts like they did in previous years. The AAA percentage is set for the year, so they can't reduce it.
