Just curious if snorkel excursions use "dry" snorkels or do I need to bring my own? Thanks

I'll bite...what are dry snorkels?

Whenever I have gone on a snorkel excursion, they do provide them. However, we have our own mask/snorkel that we take. We borrow the provided vests and fins.

We do take our fins for CC because we can only borrow the vests here.

The ones we have gone on appear to have been sanitized. We had problems with leaky masks the one time so that is why we got our own.

Hi
Dry snorkels are snorkels that you can go underwater and the water will not get in your snorkel or if you are hit by a wave, the water won't get in your snorkel. It has a valve on top of the snorkel and it will close when it is submerged.

Bring your own. The rental equipment I saw was pretty low end, no frills.

Thanks mylilnikita!!

We actually have those. I wouldn't hold my breath (no pun intended-ok yes there was!!) that all would have these, some might.

CC doesn't have these - don't know about other ports
