Day 3
We woke sometime in the night absolutely sweltering. They had warned us that they were turning off the electricity at 2am for a short while – about 30 mins - what they forgot to mention was that without electricity all the smoke alarms (and we had 3) would beep every minute or so and we would also melt from having no A/C. Going to the loo was a challenge with no light whatsoever! Power came back at 3.30, then I had to fiddle with the clock/radio as it was flashing in my face most annoyingly!

Woke again at 6.30. We had breakfast of a bagel and cream cheese in the room and then were first through the turnstiles at International Gateway. We walked briskly, much too hot to run, to Soarin’ and rode in the front row – wow I LOVE this ride. We got fastpasses for 10.15 even though the standby line was 5 mins, and made our way to Test track where we walked right on and rode twice without leaving the car. Then Tony rode Mission Space which he declared would make me sick so we went to Spaceship Earth – well you have too don’t you? We then went back to Soarin’ and rode the third row. The ride seemed even better second time.

After an early lunch at The Tangerine Café we went back to BCV for an afternoon beside the pool and dinner at Beaches and Cream. I ordered a double scoop ice cream sundae for dessert and it was so big I could only finish about ¼ of it, and Tony was the same with his chocolate cake. The portions really were obscene and un-necessarily large. We were really disappointed with Beaches and Cream and thought the food very poor.

We watched Illuminations and some TV then bed.

What you only ate 1/4 of the ice cream sundae !!!! Gill you've let me down (LOL :rotfl2: ). Epcot sounds great when it's quiet, glad you had a good day

Soarin' is absolutely fantastic Gill. I really do think it's an experience in itself. DH and I kept meaning to go to Beaches and Cream but never quite made it - sounds like we didn't miss much.

Another great day ~ Beaches 'n' Cream seems to be either a hit or a miss. We've had lots of great meals there but I have also read quite negative reports about it.
