OMG, I just got home and I had an e-mail from Dreams Unlimited saying that Disney upgraded us from a Cat 11 room to a Cat 8!! And it looks like we're going to be just a few doors down from you in 7506 - how funny!! I had requested a specific inside aft cabin because I wanted to be close to the "secret verandah" but I'm not going to complain...3 category upgrade, bigger cabin, oceanview...I'll take it!!! :cool1: :banana: :cool1: :banana:
We were originally in 5001... we got upgraded also.. from 11 to 8!! TA called me yesterday.. Hey, maybe some night we will go out and find that secret verandah by ourselves.. we could have a drink and visit!! :banana:

DD12 and DH are traveling with me...we're flying down on the 21st and spending 6 nights at our timeshare in Kissimmee prior to the cruise. Just 3 more weeks...I'm SO ready for this vacation, the cruise especially!! :Pinkbounc
Since we'll be just a few cabins down I'm sure we'll have an opportunity to meet up with each other!!
We are going to Chef Mickey's on 10-22.
Mickey's nsshp on 10-23-05.
Are you doing MNSSHP?
Did you make a Door sign for the cruise.

We're going to the MNSSHP on 10/23, too...not sure yet if we'll do costumes - if anything, it will just be something simple. We also have reservations at Liberty Tavern that night.
We're going to Blizzard Beach 10/22 because that's the last day it will be open before it's closed for refurbishment (a tip just in case you were thinking of going there). We're also going to go to Typhoon Lagoon, one day of park hopping and the Dixie Stampede dinner show. We've been to all the theme parks on previous trips but never to the water parks so we're sticking mostly with the water parks this trip (although I didn't want to miss out on the MNSSHP party!!).
No, I haven't done a door sign - I don't have much for creative juices in me (as you can guess by my costume comment) so I probably won't be doing any door sign. How about you...are you making one?
We are not dressing up either for MNSSHP. l thought with all the riding rides we want to do that it would just get in the way.
We dont have dinner reservations the night of MNSSHP so we will wing it.
We arent doing any waterparks this trip. I figure, this is our 1st trip and we wont have enough time anyway.
Can't wait to meet you.. how weird that we both got upgrades and now we are 3 rooms from each other.
Yes, I made a door sign but I will have to do it again.. ink is running out.

We have early dining. I'm planning on having a Lifestyle portrait taken also - I've seen some really nice ones on the boards.
I wandered over to the door sign thread the other day and found myself getting excited about making a door sign even though I hadn't planned on making one...I even made two!! Mine are kind of simple (I was amazed at some of the door signs I saw!!) but it's better than nothing!! I bought some of the magnet sheets yesterday so now I just need to print them. I also picked up some of the lime green mickey heads at Home Depot yesterday to put on our door - guess I have the fever in spite of not being overly creative!!
A little over a week and we'll be packing... :banana: :banana: !!!
Well I am not sure if my doorsign will be done.. I had made one but then ran out of ink... now my back is out.. so having difficulty.
Anyway.. glad you keep responding.. wonder where everyone else is?
well, time to get the kids off to school

I found someone else on one of the cruise threads who's going on the 27th...up to 3 now!!
I've got my door signs done but I still need to print them on the magnetic paper I bought. They're nothing fancy but I'm satisfied. We're leaving Friday so I really have to start packing today!! :Pinkbounc
I am trying to pack today, because DH travels and wont be home till around midnight on Friday and our plane leaves at 6:00 am. We have Karaoke on Friday at the bar, we live above it so no sleep and we leave for the airport at 3:30am!
One week from today MNSSHP!!

I'm partially packed and after just spending 30 minutes reading through the jeans/no jeans thread :crazy2: I guess I dare pack one pair of my DH's jeans!! Along with a polo shirt and dress shoes I think he'll look just fine (and he'll be much more comfortable since he's a jeans and t-shirt guy).
Hoping TS Wilma stays clear!! I think the cruise will be fine but I'm more concerned about this weekends weather...guess we just have to hope for the best!!
I didn't even think to mention this thread to the other cruiser although I did ask her if she had posted on the cruise meets before (her screen name sounded familiar).
Be sure to knock on our cabin door (7506)...a very small Disboard meeting it will be I guess!! :confused3
Yes, I am watching Wilma closely. I am sure we will probably see each other for sure in the hallway. And, maybe in each others room.
Started a trip report. You can look for it.. it says We are going, no we arent, yes we are!
I forget, are you going to MNNSHP? I could probably look back.. I have probably already asked.
Getting ready, stressed.... not packed.. lots of stuff to do for the bar/cafe.. Major freaking out.

I posted in the jeans thread.. We are wearing jeans for our lifestyle portrait.
Probably do that for the Parrot dinner. We wont look bad, and we will all match so I have decided I am going to wear them...I think that is better then having someone's chest falling out or what some people feel is dress up clothes but dont cover...
There are so many other things to worry about... Hope I dont make too many angry. Anyway, I may chicken out.. who knows.

We're supposed to go to MNSSHP on Sunday...I just hope Wilma doesn't interfere with that!! It looks like we're going to have to wait it out another day or two to see how this storm is going to track. Bad weather seems to follow us almost every time we go on vacation so I'm used to it but it gets frustrating!! :confused3
I would think jeans would look nice in the Lifestyle portrait. I haven't decided yet what we'll be wearing for that but since we leave in 3 days :cool1: I really need to start thinking about it!! I'm halfway packed but I'm having a hard time getting motivated to do the rest of it. I think it's thought of Wilma putting a damper on things but unfortunately we can't control the weather so I guess we'll just have to make the best of it!! :umbrella:

Count me in on the 27th! It is me, dh, dd (2) & ds (5). This is our 2nd cruise and we are sooooo excited! I think we are in 2510. I can't wait to get there- my kids have no idea we are going on a disney cruise (we told them we are going with dh to a chiropractic seminar :rolleyes1 ). I am so excited to see their little faces when we tell them where we are really going!

How exciting for your kids (and you!!). This will be the 2nd cruise for DH and I but first for our DD12 but I'm SO excited because this is our first Disney cruise. Bee and I were starting to wonder if we were going to be the only 2 DISers on board - nice to hear from you!! She and I both got upgraded and ended up getting bumped just a few doors down from each other - kind of funny!!
We're flying down tomorrow night and staying in Kissimmee until the cruise - are you going to WDW first?? Have fun and feel free to knock on our door (7506) and say hello!! :wave:

We are leaving Wed morning (flying) and staying at a hotel by the airport and then getting on the first bus going to the ship Thursday morning. I doubt I will get upgraded. We decided last month to book this cruise- it would be nice tho. I am a little nervous about being on deck 2 (room 2510) and it is one far end of the boat but someone just posted that they had that exact room and loved it because it was a little bigger being on the bend of the ship and close to elevators. As long as we don't have HUGE waves I will be great! Maybe we will run into each other... we have the late dinner :( but I have a request for early eating in and I am hoping and praying we get it (my 2 year old won't last until 8:30 for dinner)! Have a great trip down!

I wasn't expecting an upgrade at all so it was a very nice surprise!! We've got early dining - good luck getting switched!! I'll make a note of your room # in case we're wandering the deck 2 halls looking at door signs. :)
