Southwest Air???

I will be going to DL in May of next year, with my best friend, and since we are both on a tight budget, we are seriously considering flying Southwest, and would like to hear other traveller's opinions, good or bad, on it. We would love to fly into SNA, but unfortunately SW doesn't have any flights from Detroit to there, so we're pretty much euchered, unless anyone can suggest any low budget airlines that fly from DTW to SNA.

I like Southwest! I've never had a problem with them.....in fact I am flyng them in 6 hours :) The only thing is you have to get there early to get a boarding pass esp if you want to sit next to someone! Never been a problem for me.... :)

Personally, I love SWA, they are on time, inexpensive and the attendants (for the most part) are GREAT.

with SWA is the way they board you! I don't go for the calling of the cattle to get on a flight. I like an airline that lets you get your seats assigned ahead of time. Not to say that SWA isn't a good company, I just don't care for that practice of boarding. Have flown with them and for the most part are friendly. Crew going out west was much better than the rude crew we had coming east. When I say rude, I mean it too!

We actually are flying from the east coast to Phoenix this year using Delta. Had a better fare than SWA, plus got assigned seating. Do have to go to Atlanta and change, but on such a long flight, its nice to get a break in flying time by changing planes.
