Has anyone eaten at Gatwick Hilton recently?
My mum rang up to make a reservation today at "Aimees"for this Sat, which was like a tex mex restaurant the last time we was there, and she was told its not there anymore as its been turned into a posh restaurant. Not such a good idea for kids.
Apparently they do a similar thing to the old tex mex downstairs where the breakfast is normally served.
Has anyone eaten there, if so whats the verdict?

We ate at the newly refurbished Garden Restaurant before we went a 18 days ago. It was quite good, hardly posh but nicely done. I think we paid around £30 for two entrees and drinks.
We thought the Hilton in general had serious problems...desperately in need of refurbishment and a good clean.

We often go with a lot of kids to the Hilton so walk through to the airport and go to Frankie and Bennys. They do excellent kids menus and the adult food is nice too. So long as you are in by 9.30 p.m. I think as it does close early. You may want to check. This has become a ritual for us and we love it.
Let us know how you get on.

I agree - why don't you take the (very short) walk into the airport? We usually eat at Pizza Express the night before and then return back to the Hilton for the night. The location of the Hilton and easy access to the south terminal is unbeatable.
