Hi everyone
I was just wondering if anyone has utilized Shades of Green's Rest and Relaxation package...??? Supposed to have reduced rates and include breakfast and dinner.....
Anyone? I am hoping to plan a surprise trip for the kids to see their Daddy when he gets leave from Operation Iraqi Freedom...
Thanks!

We've used a plan that was called the Gold Leaf package. It included breakfast and dinner at the hotel. We loved it. We ate a big breakfast, usually the buffet, and then we usually had sandwiches or pizza at the Evergreen's bar near the pool. When we were there last they had just finished renovations and had only one restaurant open, but I understand that they have more restaurants now.

I've reserved the R&R package for next May, when my husband will be on leave from OIF. Here's a part of the e-mail I got when I was making my inquiry:
For a standard room 8 nights R&R will be:
2 adults $658.00
children 13+ $115.00 each
children 3-12 $65.00 each
This package includes: room, breakfast and dinner buffet each day of your stay. Please let me know if I can assist you further.
When will your husband be on leave? Maybe we'll see you there!

I think it all depends on what rank your hubby/wife is. The higher the rank, the more you pay. For us I didn't think it was that great of a deal. Then, we would have had rented a car or hired a service to get us to the SOG. That's at least another $100. We also didn't like only being able to eat at the buffet (Garden Gallery). We didn't care much for the food when we ate there before. Not only that, but being tied down to eating your meals always at the SOG(because you've paid for them)having to leave the parks, come back, etc. It just wasn't for us. Hope someone else can benefit from it!! :goodvibes
