Day Eleven - Typhoon Lagoon

Today is another first and that is Typhoon Lagoon. We make our way to the transportation centre where a cm tells us how to get to the Polynesian Resort to get the bus to TL. The walk is not that far at all and so we wait for the bus which is about 15 minutes (you might guess the bus for BB comes first). The bus goes to Downtown Disney first which is on my list to do this time but first it’s the water park.

We arrive at TL and rent a locker.

We didn’t buy any water shoes as we weren’t sure whether we would get to BB and so thought it might not be worth it but as they say hindsight is a wonderful thing.

Walking round in bare feet on burning concrete is not wise. We head for the lagoon and spend quiet a while in the water, well DH certainly does. We didn’t manage to get a lounger but settled with a couple of chairs although we didn’t use them much.

It was then time to relax on Castaway Creek and that was fantastic I could have stayed on there all day. For lunch we try and find a burger bar or something but the only thing we could find was a hot dog snack bar so we had one of those and a cool drink before going back to the water.

We have a walk around and DH goes on a couple of the rides but I am not a confident swimmer so I settle for a wander around. We both go on Gang Plank Falls a couple of times which was great fun.

We leave about 4 o’clock and I would have to say it was absolutely brilliant and makes me more determined that we will go to BB.

Did you get to Blizzard Beach during your stay ?? I prefer BB, but the rest of the family like the waves at TL, did you see any characters there ?? Once when we were on the lazy river, Goofy was soaking people with a water gun, it was great and we've also seen Lilo & Stitch there. Great report cazzie :sunny:

Thanks, we did get to BB on the last day, I didn't see any characters at TL but Goofy was at BB. :)

Thanks Cazzie for another lovely report, enjoyed your pics from TL, I haven't been to BB but absolutely LOVED TL when we there last year,

Lovely report Cazzie, we are going to go back there next year. We didn't go in July, instead we just went to BB. DS15 kept holding my ring under the ice cold showers on the creek which has made me think the attract warm waters of TL might be a better option next year.
