Part 15: Day 12: Seaworld

Up at 7.00 and off to Sizzlers for breakfast. Lovely. At $17.64 inc drinks it would be difficult to say anything else!

Today’s plan is Seaworld but we are going via Epcot. Get to Epcot around 8.40, my first rope drop! Cm at the rope gives me a Mickey ariel topper because I caught him on my camcorder! 10-09-08-07-06-05-04-03-02-01 Whoo Hoo! :cool1: in we go.

Straight to Soarin’ for a FP, the park had only been open for 45 seconds and the FP was already on 9.51. Over to TT, the wait says 30mins but it is a walk-on. After I buy a T-Shirt that says TT Dummy and Gavin buys a little miniature TT car.

Back to Soarin’, Gavin & I are very nervous about this. I get terrible motion sickness and Gavin is afraid of heights and there are signs all over saying that sufferers from either of these conditions should refrain from riding. Those signs are way over the top, this ride was amazing, I cannot believe my feet did not get wet!

Next we had a bun and some hot chocolate at Seasons. Yes I know it is 98 degrees outside but in the A/C of the Land it is freezing! Watched the Circle of Life before we left. It was very educational, scaringly so.

On the way out DF noticed me looking longingly at the Leave a Legacy tile and asked if I would like one. Oh well, only if you do love… :rolleyes1 One photo and $25 later we are the proud owners of a…. reference number! 4-6 weeks until we get our pack with a copy of the picture and location details.

Off to Seaworld at 11.45. It was ridiculously hot by now so first stop was a drink and ice-cream.

Shamu’s adventure was on at 13.00 so off to the stadium at 12.30 to get a decent seat. I do like this show, as I did when we came to watch Shamu Rocks America a few days ago but I do wrestle with my conscience at the obvious fatigue of the biggest ‘Shamu’ His tails and fin were so curved he looked ill and I felt guilty I was paying to watch him perform tricks in captivity. But I DID pay and I DID watch so a bit late for the moral highground.

After the show we walked over to Journey to Atlantis but it was a 60min wait and it was very hot so we skipped it. There wasn’t anything else we fancied doing (I had been on Kraken when we came the other day) so we went home for a rest around 14.30. Just look at what we found in the car park on the way out...

Evening meal was at Passage to India (Again!) at 19.30 with a call in the supermarket for essentials and back home at 22.00, American pie 2 was on the TV so we stayed up and watched that with a few beers then bed.

I enjoyed Soarin', it is such a pleasant, feel good type of a ride. Have you ever tried Mission Space? I didn't because I had read too many reports of people getting ill to chance it (vomit rocket I believe the CMs call it) even though I don't suffer from motion sickness.

Havnt done missions space, I really dont think I would cope. The giveaway is the fact that Disney provide sick bags!

Passage to India on the 192 was gorgeous. I suspect that the one on I-Drive is nice aswell. We were chatting to the waitress one night and she mentioned the chef was on hol that eve so they had one over from that restuarant.

Great day Jodie. I love Sea World and, yes, I too feel a bit sorry for the wildlife but I think they are generally treated well and a lot of them are better off in captivity. The only thing that really makes me sad is the polar bears - so much so that we actually didn't go to see them this time.

Great day, I'm so glad you got to see the rope drop - I love it! Soarin' sounds fab, I do suffer with motion sickness but I'm sure I'll be ok with this one. Passage to India sounds really nice.
