Thinking about having a meal at Emeril's next Aug.

Can anyone advise what to wear?

To me (British man) 'smart' means, proper trousers, formal shirt, jacket & tie. However, cannot imagine walking there in the Florida August heat wearing all that!! Please can someone tell me what most men & women wear there. Also does it matter whether it is lunchtime or evening?

Thanks for your time. :hourglass

we were there in December. I think for August you will be fine in Khakis and a polo shirt. You may want a button down. Open collar is fine.

Your "smart" is our "formal". Our "smart" is comparable to a business casual type look (cotton pants & a golf shirt or casual button down shirt).

We've been there many times & seen every style of dress. Lunch seems to be much more casual with shorts being the norm. Dinner is not much more dressy with some people still wearing nice shorts/golf shirts and some dressing business casual style.

As long as you look neat & put together, you won't be out of place.

Emeril's only dress requirement is no tank tops. they're relaxed with the dress code for the weather here. I do lunch at the bar in a tshirt, shorts, and slides once a month.

You definately don't need jacket/tie. Khakis and a polo shirt are fine.

Also..Emeril's has another restaurant on Universal property, Tchoup Chop at Royal Pacific Resort. We find the food/service here to be much better than at Emeril's restaurant.

Thanks for all your help. I assume that by khakis you mean long pale lightweight trousers? What we call chinos over this side of the pond?! I think I should invest in an British/Amercan dictionary!!!
