Home resort OKW, want to try BWV

Our home resort is OKW and would like to try BWV again. What do you think our changes of getting a preferred view studio at BWV for the first two weeks in June at 7 months? We stayed recently in a preferred view overlooking Boardwalk and my wife has been come spoiled.

Just remember that Boardwalk Inn does not have as many villas as Old Key West does, so remember to book as early as you can.

You will probably end up on a wait list. But wait lists do come thru most of the time. Remember though, the preferred view is not always a "good" view. Many people have complained that their preferred view wasn't worth the pts. If you really want to stay at the BWV's, I would request standard and preferred view and hope to get either.

hi: your chances might not be too bad because the kids aren't usually out of school yet at that time. if you do go on the waitlist, use the auto-confirm feature so that ms doesn't have to call or e-mail you. that way the unit is automatically reserved for you. the wait list does work most of the time (better than 50% in our case).

We own at OKW and last year booked a preferred studio at BWV for June 1, 1 night, at 7 months. We had to wait until 30 days before to book the 2nd night because those points were in holding. When we called on May 2, we were offered a preferred view or standard view. We took the preferred view because we already had a preferred view booked for the first night.

There was availability, with choices, when we called for reservations within 30 days.

Now...our preferred view was not worth the points; our room was, IMHO, a standard view.

We own at VB and got a Boardwalk Preferred studio at 7 months out for July 22-27 without any problem. Then we had to change ressies and wanted a 1 bdr. at 6 weeks out. None were available at BWV but we could have VWL or OKW. BWV still had studios available though.
