Hello, this will be our 1st time having AAA. If I want to book a package with the dining plan can I use AAA for a discount? or is this discount for room only? Should I book my package with Disney or the AAA agency? And if I book with AAA and Disney comes out with a special offer like free dining will AAA adjust my package for me. Any input will help me. Thank You

To book a MYW package with dining and get a room discount you need to book through AAA. If free dining comes out, they should be able to adjust it for you BUT you will lose your room discount.

Hope this makes sense.

If you want a package with dining you can book through AAA and recieve the AAA discount on the room portion of the package and a slight discount on the tickets, dining plan is not discounted.

If you book the same package through Disney you will have to pay rack rate for the room.

If a special plan comes out (like free dining) my AAA agent assured me they could switch it over without a change fee if you call and request it.

Their change/cancellation penalties are the same as Disney's for packages.

I booked my package thru AAA after checking price online at disney online. I saved $175 total with AAA. I think the discount was just for the room, but whatever, it's a savings.

I had also asked about free dining and was told I could get it AND AAA discount.

AAA discount applies to the room only. I think there may be about two or three dollars off park tickets, but not much.

That being said, it's still a better deal than Disney, and you get things such as a diamond parking pass if you have a car, and access to the AAA lounge for a free soda.

This is the first time I have booked using a AAA discount. I booked room only on the AAA online website. There was no information given about final payments. I paid a one night plus tax deposit for each room. Can anybody tell me when I pay the final payment. Do I pay it through AAA or when I check into the resort? I know this sounds crazy but my confirmation didn't say anything about final payments due.

If you book room only, you just pay the balance upon check-in.

Hope this helps!

I guess it's like reserving a room thru AAA at any hotel. If you had ordered a package, then it would have to be paid in full before trip.

Thanks so much for the info. WDWBetsy...I hope you enjoy your trip at the AKL...we LOVED it last year. It was my dream to stay there. Now I really want to go back...maybe when they have another great special!

Thanks! We're looking forward to it. AAA is saving us $254 off the room portion. Of course, if we can get a better deal, I'll definitely jump on it (as long as we're outside of the 45 days).
