we are putting an addition on our house and I just found out the spot we picked won't work and the only solution is to put it on the side where my flower garden is......so I have to dig up and replant my whole garden. Now I'm not sure what to do because I don't have another area I want to plant now.

:daisy: :flower1: Could I pot all my perrenials and store them in the garage for the winter or would I be better off planting them in a temporary garden?

I had to move most of my perennials beds due to an addition we put on last year. I just plopped them in the vegetable garden and have been slowly moving them out this summer. I also gave away a ton of them.

I would suggest that you keep your favorites and one from each species if you have several of one kind. Then I would offer the rest to friends or even elderly neighbors (and offer to plant for them).

A temproary garden is best but if that's not possible than just pot up your favorites and keep in a garage or even and isolated area outside. if you store outside make sure they are in plastic pots. Cover them with a pile of mulched leaves and hope for the best!

Good luck.
