This are pictures made by someone from The Interdictor blog: http://katrina.djeo.net/HurricaneKatrina?page=1

For anyone unfamiliar, the Interdictor is a blog made by employees of a New Orleans company who stayed throughout the storm and are still in their offices. The company is somehow necessary to help with rebuilding. ETA the blog itself: http://www.livejournal.com/users/interdictor/2005/08/28/ Hit Most Recent Entries to get access to cams, more pictures and so on.

As for the pictures, they include scenes around downtown New Orleans and inside the offices where they live. The cat is a pet that was lost until recently. :)

Note how well many of the old structures held up. Also, some of the odd pictures that show things like destroyed homes behind an almost perfect playground. :confused3

No time to look at the pics...but they dig some pretty big holes and fill it with concrete when constructing playgrounds. So it is not surprising. Maybe the concreate weighs more than what it is gluing to the ground?
