I've had water lillies for a few years now They produce nice lilly pads but not enough sun to produce many water lilly blossoms. Seems they bloom while I'm away too. They only last a couple of days at best. This time I caught it blooming  This one was given to me by my DSs for Mothers Day.

Sorry the pics are blurry, it's a stretch to lean over the pond and balance a camera.

Wow! They are so beautiful! I'm glad you caught one blooming. Do they have a fragrance?

:scratchin I was wondering the same thing. I can't sniff it without falling in. :fish:
This one opened up during the day and closed at night for 3 days. I wish the pink or red ones would bloom.

Beautiful~ I have the same problem with my pond. The first several years I had lots of blooms, but as the surrounding trees grew, pond got shady-no more blooms.

To keep my lilies blooming I re-pot every year in the spring, I also fertilize them monthly with waterlily tablets. My smaller pots get 1 tablet monthly, my large pot get 2-3 tablets. This keep the waterlily flowering all summer.

Beautiful Deb!
