Thought I saw a question on this a few days ago but now I can't find it so apologies for asking again.
We bought 7 day Universal tickets from Virgin but have been provided witha printout which says something like 'Please provide the following services - 2 times 7-day Universal 2-park tickets'.
Now, can we just take this to Universal and change it there for the tickets or do we have to go to the dreaded Welcome meeting and get our tickets from the Virgin rep? Would be grateful if someone can answer this for me.
Thanks in advance
Joh

we got ours at universal, but we want to go to the welcome meeting with Virgin to get the free meal at hard rock cafe - we only get that if we go to the welcome meeting. However last time we turned up late and got the voucher from one of the people outside!

We went for the free meal thing last year and weren't that impressed so we're not going to bother this year - that's why I wanted to check if we could get our tickets at Universal, so we don't have to endure the Welcome Meeting.

i was under the impression that it was different this year??
last year was a night out somewhere at a dinner show. This time its just a free meal at hard rock cafe! you get a voucher and choose when you want to eat and what! personally i like hard rock cafe.

No, last year was a free meal at the HRC - definitely was in September when we went anyway. You're restricted on what you can order - can only have certain things. Our server was terrible and we waited over an hour for a table, even though we'd made a PS for 7.30.
Each to their own though - just not worth it for us.
So, we can definitely just exchange the voucher for tickets at Universal itself?

We have purchased universal tickets (the flex thing) and I specificly made sure our TA knew we wanted real tickets (or something as good as) so that we don't have to waste our time on the welcome meeting. So, I'm looking forward to a definative answer on this, before I have to hassle the TA into hassling Virgin for an answer and possibly rejecting that part of the package - since it wasn't what we ordered.
Have you asked Virgin?

Hi Guys
We have always purchased our tickets from Virgin and just had vouchers which you take straight to Universal and Disney and exchange at Ticket counters with no problems. Just remember to take passports with you when you exchange them as they like to see photo ID. Have never bothered with welcome meetings as we have got hols so well planned in advance haven't felt need. They tend to be mid morning which is a waste of a day at the parks to me.
Hope this helps

You hand the "letter" over at the park that you are going to,Guest Relations then issue you with a ticket,I think that you may have to have ID to prove who you are but not 100% on that.Have never bothered with any of the welcome meetings, why waste your first morning when you could already be at the parks!!
