I just received a notice on my phone:
Hurricane Relief: Sept. 1-30 overage and roaming for this phone will be waived. A 1-month credit of rate plan charges will appear on your Sept. or Oct. bill.
My phone was purchased in Mississippi and because the number is still there, it connects through a Mississippi "switch." (A Sprint guy explained it to me.) Since the hurricane, I've only had intermittent access - for a full week no one could call my cell, and it still goes off and on now. Obviously, not a BIG problem - but it's nice that they're doing this for other people with Mississippi/LA/AL phones!
