Tipping your wedding coordinator

I know this has been covered several times, but I'm still not sure I've got it straight. I know the wedding coordinator cannot accept cash, but does this include a gift card or Amex gift check? I can't imagine buying a gift for someone I won't meet until the day of my wedding. I'm stumped at what to get people I've known my whole life. :teeth: So, are gift cards considered money, or gifts?

Only cash is not allowed. Gift cards, and disney dollars are fine. I'm planning on doing the visa gift card myself.
