as suggested, giving this it's own thread....

I just bought a great special from Universal (http://themeparks.universalstudios.com/orlando/website/kids_free_landing.html?__dest=ticket_landing.OFFER _center_1)...for each adult 2-day 2 park ticket you get one kids (3-9) ticket of the same type FREE!! plus they will add 2 more days for a total of 4 days on each ticket which expire 4 days after first use......oh and they discount the adult ticket $5 toooooooo!!!

with tax I got both tickets for just $106.45 (I elected to pick up the tickets at the gate when I arrive so no shipping cost is involved with my purchase)

you are allowed to purchase up to 3 adult tickets thereby getting 3 kids tickets free.....hope this helps

I was considering buying this for my kids, as my husband and I have AP's. My son is 10 and my daughter is 7. We will be there Nov. 9 - 13, but on the 11th we will be at Discovery Cove. So, If we used the tickets on Wed. Nov. 9th, wouldand didn't use a day on our Discovery cove day, would they expire on Sat. or Sun. These tickets would only work for us if they expire on Sun.

Anyone know?

I just cancelled my Hotel Reservation and my electronic Will-Call pickup for tickets so I could book a great package.

I got 3 nights RPR Standard Room, 3 five consecutive day tickets and my child, age 5, eats free. This package with tax came to $774. I thought that was a great deal.

My previouse rate at RPR was AAA at 179.20 per night plus tax = $200.10 per night. I also bought the buy 2 get 3 days free passes for 3 of us at $320. I am saving about $150 plus my child eats free and I don't have to buy a AAA membership.

Thanks for posting this in the other thread and now giving it its own thread!

This is a GREAT deal! I'm so glad they brought it back! :cool1:

I missed this deal back when they offered it by just a few days.

I just saved $200 with this offer for my family of two adults and two kids!

Thanks again for posting it!

I just looked on Universal's website to see if they had this deal again. Last yr, we got it and helps oh so much. We were planning on going to US on Jan. 16th which is MLK day. Do you think it will be crowded? It will probably be crowded @ Disney too though. We are going Jan. 13-22 and always enjoyed going to US on Mondays.
Help,
Pam

Pooo, it won't help me too much :( My son is 11....so we've have to end up buying 3 regular priced and we'd just benefit one childs ticket for my 9 year old dd. I was really getting my hopes up thinking it would be cheaper this way for us just to go one day this year (the second day can be used at a later date, although the extra 2 days expire).....guess we're back at square one with one day one park tickets.

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a great deal. Does anyone know if Universal offers this often? We are going next October and would LOVE a deal like this, have they done this before, can anyone tell me what months if so?

Another question. How long will they run this deal? Can I wait a month to buy the tickets? I don't work all Summer and just went back so money is tight until the paychecks start coming in again but I don't want to miss out on this deal.

from their site :

"This exclusive online offer must be purchased before January 1, 2006, used by April 30, 2006, and is not available at the gate."

so you've got some time :)

They ran it last spring and I waited and missed out. I'd buy them if you are going to Universal before April 30.

Just because it mentioned Jan 1, they could stop selling them before then.

I wonder if you could upgrade one of the kids' tickets to an adults, and if so, how much it would cost. We have four adults (by their definition ... I only see two when I look around the living room) and only one child.

Our family is considered 4 adults and 1 child. I opted to get 3 extra kid's tickets. If anyone wants them pm me. Otherwise, I will give them away in the parking lot.

Does anyone know if it would be possible for someone else to use the third and fourth "free" days? Just curious. We are going with my sister and dh and kids. Wondering if they check id's?

Thanks.

CubScoutMom - What a great gesture! :goodvibes We would do this also if we were going this year as we only have "1 child". We'll maybe get the chance to spread some pixiedust if they run this offer again later next year!

HeatherC - US/IoA were checking ID's and getting adults to "sign in" each time they entered one of their parks last December so I don't think you'll be able to share tickets.

Just wondering if you are allowed to go to IOA then to US the same day? Or one park only per day?

I too thought about upgrading the childs tickets...... (cause we have 4 adults going, 2 kids, and 2 12yo's.....

I called Universal's guest services and they said that their normal ticket policies would allow upgrading. He couldn't promise anything but said it probably would work for us..... (upgrade should be around $5-10 per ticket)

To answer a few questions:

Yes, you can "park hop". Just get your hand stamped when leaving the first park.

No, you cannot let someone else use your remaining days. Universal is in the process of going to biometrics so there is a good chance they will be using that when you go.

Help! I need to cancel my hotel reservation and electronic will call tickets too.
I e-mailed Universal to ask how and they say...no refunds on tickets! Is there
any way around this to book the new deal?

THANKS!!!
