Hi everyone! I'm the captain for the Blue team for the Biggest Loser WISH contest...GO BLUE! :cheer2: First, about me...I'm 40 years old, a SAHM with a 7 yr old DD and I'll have my personal title of biggest loser once 50 pounds is gone! I'm excited that we're doing this!

Everyone will weigh in on Tuesday nights, then post or pm me your weight loss and I'll add it up for our team total for the week.

The position of Fitness Guru is open, please let me know if you'd like to be him/her! You don't have to be Jillian, just someone who has motivational posts on exercise and healthy eating, and maybe a "tip of the day" type of thing.

Finally, we can change our color if we want to - please cast your vote for our color! Also feel free to add any suggestions you have to help us out.

Team members are (updated 9/15):

Checking in.

I vote to keep the blue!

:dog2:

Well I'm editing this to add that I'm 48. :earseek: Married 24.5 years and have no children. Guess I'm the old lady in the bunch so far. I just went back to WW so that's the plan I'll be following. I will also be using those weigh-in days since I don't want to get on the scale between weigh-ins.

Blue is fine with me.

Are there any rules to this that I don't know? I have never seen the show and actually, I probably won't see it this season either, so I am relying on others to help guide me here. ::MickeyMo ::MickeyMo

Terry is checking in!! I weighed myself last night :crazy2: and I am motivated to get back onto the losing path!!!

I only saw bits and pieces of the show last year so I hope we don't have to watch to be able to play here. I won't know the rules! :rotfl:

Has everyone decided what 'plan' they are going to use for the challenge?

Hi,
I'm Helen, I'm 51 years old I have 2 children a son 23 and a daughter 18 who is in her first year of college 4 1/2 hours away. Now that it is just my husband and I, I've found I'm back to eating just out of boredom so I was happy to see this challenge. We are going to WDW in Dec, so I definately want to lose at least 15 pounds before we go, but altogether I need to lose around 30 to 35 pounds.
Blue is fine with me!

Hi teammates!!

A little about me......I turned the big 5-0 this year! Married 13 yrs, 4 kids ages 18 - 28. My baby leaves this Saturday for Ohio State. It is just going to be me, DH, and our dog at home! I have started training for the WDW Half-marathon in January. And I am looking forward to this challenge. I don't have a lot to lose, but I can't seem to break through a certain number and I have probably lost the same 5 lbs five times in just the last couple of months.

Go Team!!

Welcome everyone! :wave2: It's nice to get know about you. I hope everyone had a great first day on the DIS Biggest Loser competition!

How about a Blue Team challenge for tomorrow (Thursday)? Actually I have 2 in mind...the first one is "Just Say No." Just as it sounds, we all will "Just Say No" to anything and anyone that would sabotage our healthier lifestyles...this includes the coffee break donuts and the friend who wants to park in the spot that's closer to the door! Throughout the day keep track of how many "no's" you say and post here...whoever has the most is the winner of the challenge! (If you have to say no to those donuts 14 times count each one! ;) )

The next one is to get a minimum of 10 minutes of exercise doing WHATEVER...if you park farther away than usual and it takes you an extra 5 minutes to walk to work/the store (home if you park on a different street!) and an extra 5 minutes to get back that's 10 minutes. Let's see how many total Blue Team minutes we can log in on Thursday!

Oh, by the way - Blue is the color of choice so Blue we will be! Any creative team members that come up with a clippie or something??

Go Blue! :cheer2:

Well, I went power shopping for a Homecoming dress tonight with DD15, so I am counting the fast paced walking as exercise.

About me.....I am 38, have a very supportive DH and 4 children. DD18 (now in college), DD15, DD7, and DS (he's 2). We own a grocery store of all things and I do the bookwork at home, am very involved in GS, spend time trying to keep track of the family's comings and goings, and every once in awhile try to find time for myself, amongst the other myriad of things I am involved in.

As far as weight, I am halfway to my original goal. It's taken 6 months, but I have lost 40lbs, much better than I have done before finding WISH. My biggest problem is exercise. I know I need to do it, I know that once I get going I really enjoy it and all the extra energy, but for some reason, I just can't get motivated lately.

But, I am sure we can all do this together!

Hey, WDWFAN9, where are you from? You're not too far away. I'm west of you, close to the Mississippi. I am finding more and more people on WISH are in the Chicago suburbs.

Everyone have a great night! ::MickeyMo ::MickeyMo

A few people have asked about the rules for this - there aren't many. Kelsie has them listed here (http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=909586&page=1&pp=15) . The eating and exercise plans you use are up to you.

Geetey- Terry - I forgot to answer your question about the plan I'm using for this...I have problems with portion control and started buying the frozen meals for lunch and dinner. I add some fruit to lunch and veggies to dinner. I eat a snack between meals of 100 calories, so I eat about every 3 hours. My snacks are usually Pria bars (chocolate mint yum!), granola bar (again chocolate), wheat thins, or a piece of fruit. I also have desert, about 100 -150 cals usually a fudge bar or the ww choc cake. I am keeping my calories between 1200 - 1400/day. I also exercise but not a lot. We have a bowflex and I work out on that 3/week and am on my second week now. I have a WISH buddy and we challenge each other to do some kind of exercise every day and that helps too - it keeps me thinking about it until one day it becomes habit.

What is everyone else doing?

Hi Blue team! I have been added to your team! I am a SAHM with a 6, 4, and 10 month old. My 6 year old started first grade so that has been a bit traumatic! I am doing South Beach. I lost 35 pounds on it, but then gained 55 pounds when I got pregnant! Anyway, the baby is weaned so last week I started again. I actually started at exactly the same weight I started last time. My first week I lost five pounds!

I love the mini challenges! I have already said no to my DD left over waffle! I also just got done exercising for 30 min. during my baby's nap!

Hope everyone has a great day! Too bad I can't count all my "no's" I say to my 10 month old! http://www.disboards.com/newreply.php?do=newreply&noquote=1&p=9939052#

Welcome new members!

K and K's Mommy - I'm in Indy too - welcome! Great job saying no to the left over waffles - for me, I don't realize how often I eat a bit here and there off of DDs plate until I do something like this challenge. And 30 minutes - great job using nap time to doing something for yourself!

I have 1 no for the day, just turned down some chips and am now off to exercise...

so far today:

"Just say no" - 2
exercise - 30 minutes

Blue Team's off to a great start! (Hmmm, here's a thought...the dancing banana is kind of like our mascot - he's shapely, happy and moving! Too bad he's not blue! ;) )

Good morning and welcome to the new team members! :wave2:

The mini challenge sounds like a really good idea. It really helps me to focus on a small goal rather than just the big picture. I've already had 1 no and I really wanted to say yes. This challenge is helping already! :cool1:

K and K's Mommy- How great that you've already exercised today! I'm not able to do mine until the evening and sometimes I really have to force myself to do it.

Have a great day everyone! :grouphug:

Well so far today I've said "no" to what I really wanted to have for breakfast (a second light muffin), also said "no" to buying lunch and instead, packed a good one and just went into 7-11 and only got a diet pepsi and said "no" to the bag of pretzels which were calling my name. :cool1:

09-15-2005, 01:18 PM
Quilt Teddy - that is awesome!! Congratulations!

wdw4life - I'm glad this is helping and congrats on your "no."

I just finished 25 minutes of exercise, so here's our updates:

Just say no's: 6
exercise: 55 minutes

This new challenge has got me going....for my "no", and I am so proud of myself...a co-worker brought in ice cream, mint choc chip one of my favorites and I turned it down.
I hope this is the beginning of a great new start..
This evening I turned down a baked potatoe at dinner, and I usually have a snack at night, instead of ice cream (see a pattern here?) I opted for a handful of peanuts instead.
I also did 15 minutes of exercise, I did the 1 mile walk away the pounds tape with weights.
Months ago this tape would have been a breeze for me, boy am I out of shape :faint:

Hi Blue Team! Thanks for letting me join!!

I'm Sheila and I'm 40...almost 41. I have 15 lbs to lose to reach my goal. I've lost 50 lbs so far!! :cool1: I find that the less you have to lose, the harder it is!

I've been saying "no!" all week so I'm doing good!! I weighed in today and I lost one pound, which is good for me!

Good luck, everyone!!!

was just at target with mom and was offered ice cream and candy--and said no!
then there were cupcakes in my kitchen and i said no..
day 1 was a success!!!

Hi teammates!

I've had several "no's" today...no to the spoonful of peanut butter while I was making my son's lunch this AM, no to the left-over pizza from a meeting at work, no to the left-over Baker's Square pies at work, no to the candy dish that I had to pass by many times today. But I did say yes to dinner at the Olive Garden, my son's favorite restaurant, since he leaves Saturday for college I wanted to treat him to something special. I did limit my breadstick to two, and as soon as my dinner arrived I pushed a third of it to the side and didn't touch it. Now I am heading to my treadmill for a 45 minute walk.

I hope everyone is having a great evening!

Wow! Everyone seems to be doing great!! I had one more "no." I said no to mac and cheese at dinner.

Jennz, I am not far from Noblesville. We live in northeast Indy, only one minute from Fishers.

Hi and thanks for letting me join your group! My name is Christy and I am 27 with 2 boys (3 and 19 months). I am stuck in a terrible rut and just can not seem to get serious about losing weight and getting healthy. I need to lose somewhere between 15-25 pounds, I am just not sure what my goal weight is at this point. I just bought a treadmill and it comes with an "eating plan", just a reasonable amount of caloires, fats and carbs. I think that will work best for my family. Braden (my almost 4 year old) is allergic to wheat, cheese and citrus, so we try to eat things that we can eat, too.

This challenge is starting at a bad time for me, as we are leaving on the Wonder on Sunday. I am not planning on getting the internet package on board, so I don't know if I will be able to report in next week, but after that I am all in.

I love the mini challenges, I have to run to the mall today and I will park far out instead of taking the closest spot.

I joined our local running stores "Grand Prix" program, it is a 5 or 10K every month. So far there has only been one, I am hoping to improve my time by around 5-10 minutes each race.

GO BLUE GO!!!!!!

Good morning and welcome to our newest team members!! It looks like yesterday was a good day for everyone. No isn't always easy to say but I think it gets easier with each one.

I had a couple of no opportunities yesterday. Once I had to tell myself NO the second one was a big NO to fresh baked cookies at a ball game. I didn't get much exercise in but I did park as far away from the football field as I could. It was all downhill to the field but all UP hill to the car.

Today I will continue to say no and move more.

I hope everyone has a great day!!

Hi Everyone.

I am 41yo. I work as an Assistant Controller in a big company. I have been married for nearly 16 years and have a terrific 9 year old boy.

I am very active but want to be a "big loser."

I love desserts, and found that WW Giant Fudge Bars are my personal favorite in reducing calories and weight.

It sounds like Blue Team had a great Thursday! Together we logged 22 "official" no's - this doesn't include how many things we turned down or avoided and didn't count - that's fantastic! and 1 hour and 55 minutes of exercise, which again doesn't include the things we did like park far away or take the stairs. We are definitely in control - food does NOT have power over us and isn't going to rule our lives!

I've already had my first "no" for the day and it was completely because of this challenge - similar to wdwfan9's saying no to the peanut butter yesterday I said no to the Pringles while I was packing DD's lunch today.

WDWFAN9 - I would have gone to Olive Garden too! You did great there, limiting to 2 breadsticks and pushing part of your food aside. Every thing you do that's better than what you did before counts and you made a LOT of choices to pass things up today. Great job! :cheer2:

helenk - aaahh, ice cream...here's a guilt free one for you... :mickeybar Have you tried the Skinny Cow or fudge bars? I haven't tried the WW fudge bars but our team mate Laurajean1014 said they're good. DH loves his ice cream and he switched to the Healthy Choice fudge bars and has one every night. In a month you're going to be using that exercise tape as a warm up! :)

Weirdeyes - congrats on the weight loss and saying "no!" :cheer2:

Blueeyes101817- turning down a cupcake in your kitchen is awesome!

Samantha and sap1227 - welcome!! You'll have to tell us about your trips when you get back! Great job signing up for the challenge before you leave - you said "no" to perfect excuses to procrastinate. :rotfl:

Dopey4disney - how did your shins feel after that uphill walk? :rotfl: Good extra exercise by parking far out! :cheer2:

Laurajean1014 - welcome and thanks for the tip on the fudge bars! I'll have to try those.

Everyone please keep posting your successes as well as any obstacles - we're here to help each other be Big Losers! :Pinkbounc Together we can do it...after all, all it takes is faith, trust, and a little bit of pixie dust, right? :wizard: plus some help from fellow WISH'ers!

Laurajean1014
09-16-2005, 09:50 AM
I said "yes." Yes to parking my car way on the other side of the parking area to walk and take 3 flights up to my office this morning.

I said "no," to cookies and other "baddies" at the office this morning.

Tip: Apples are great for you and can be incorporated in everything we eat. For breakfast, cut or eaten whole, lunch - add it to a salad, dinner - put it on a white homemade pizza (I learned that from Jiko's) and bake it with cinnamon for a refreshing dessert. It will help you "extract" anything that is keeping you from losing weight.

jennz
09-16-2005, 10:01 AM
Christie - I didn't notice that! You're so observant! :goodvibes Woo-hoo my first tag it's a good sign!

I just said yes to my mother when she called and said she wants to take me to lunch, Mexican food!! I will be saying NO to the chips and I will be saying YES to a grilled chicken salad with dressing on the side. I will also be saying NO to the cookies, cake and punch I just found out they will be serving in the library after lunch.

Jennz - my shins actually feel pretty good this morning, it's my thighs that took the brunt of the punishment this time :rotfl: Congratulations on your first NO of the day! Try the WW Cookies and Cream bars they are addictive, huge and only 2 points each. I can only buy them when I know that I am the one in control.

Laurajean1014 - WTG on parking far away, taking the stairs and saying NO this morning!! You are off to a great start today! Thanks for the apple tip, I need to pick some up.

WTG everyone on the hour and 55 minutes of exercise and 22 NO's yesterday  what an awesome job!

Second, I am so happy I joined this challenge. Today we had a breakfast meeting there were large muffins and pasteries and I said no thank you. I eating lunch as I type this...a WW Smart Ones frozen dinner. YUM! I do love those WW Fudge Bars. Man!!! Those things are good. I love WW cause I can eat all of this good food and stay within my WOE.

Congrats to everyone who exercised yesterday and said NO! I'm helping my parents pack and move this weekend and next week so I should get losts of strength training and cardio.

helenk - Great Job passing up muffins and pastries! Those are two of the hardest things for me to say no to.

I am going to have my first big challenge this weekend. From age 15 - 22 I was a camp counselor. A bunch of former counselors are getting together at the camp this weekend for a reunion. I think it is going to be three tempting meals. smore's, and lots of snacks! Yikes! I am bringing vegetables and dip as my contribution.

My office was ordering in for lunch and I said no. It was something that wasn't super horrible for me but I was out of points (doing WW Core), so I just had my soup. Didn't taste as good as the sandwhich would have but much healthier for me. I just finished my snack of an apple (thanks for the tip laurajean!) and am feeling really good!

Wow. I've been reading the posts and we are onto a great, great start!

Tip: A great way to get your calcium or milk in:

Mousse
Use fat free milk and sugar free instant pudding. Mix contents together then add one tablespoon of fat free Cool Whip. Mix together, place in 1/2 cup dessert or martini glasses and chill for one hour. Fresh raspberries or strawberries are optional. 1 point on WW!

Good Morning!

I just wanted to make sure everyone understands the rules.

-Yes, you should start with your weight on Tuesday night. Weight lost prior to the contest does not count towards the total.
-The reason we are in teams right now is for support. It’s not easy losing weight and it’s a proven fact support is a key to success.
-Once the ‘Biggest Loser’ becomes one team, so will we (the only difference is we will not be voting anyone off). At that time, it will be an individual contest. We are looking for the WISH Biggest Loser.
-Each team should track,
1. Individual weight loss
2. Total Team weight loss.
The team loss is just a little friendly competition to keep us motivated. The weekly winning team will be able to display the weekly Biggest Loser clippie (coming soon).
-Although there will only be one person who will become the WISH Biggest Loser, we all win! We are losing weight, getting healthy and making new friends. :)

Now for some awesome news!

As you know, Dreams Unlimited Travel is a sponsor of these Boards. I spoke with one of the owners and they are very supportive if what we’re doing. Because they understand a lot of you are working towards losing weight for your next Disney vacation, they have agreed to sponsor a special gift to the person named the WISH Biggest Loser!

The WISH Biggest Loser will receive the following:
-A special one of a kind Clippie ‘The WISH Biggest Loser Contest Winner’
And
The individual who loses the most weight during this contest will receive one of the following:

• $100 Ship Board Credit on your next Disney Cruise Line cruise booked through Dreams Unlimited Travel.
or
• $100.00 Walt Disney World Resort Gift Card to use on your next WDW trip booked through Dreams Unlimited Travel
or
• $100.00 Disneyland Resort Gift Card to use on your next Disneyland trip booked through Dreams Unlimited Travel

The winner will be able to pick one of the above prizes and must book the vacation through Dreams Unlimited Travel to receive the gift. If the winner has an existing reservation through Dreams Unlimited Travel, the prize can be applied to that reservation

This prize is only offered to those who joined the WISH Biggest Loser contest prior to this post.

Believe me, I know the ultimate prize is losing the weight and staying healthy but a little additional motivation and friendly competition never hurts! :)

Good Luck!

helenk

Wow Kelsie, what great prizes!!! I'm sure that will help keep me motivated.
....
I did my one mile WATP tape last night with weights. To day I said no to home fries with my eggs, no easy task I might add.
...

Finally checking in! I am using lots of NOs and I did sneak a peek at the scale - it's moving! And in the correct direction. ;) Nothing by way of real exercise this week - sorry - but that is in the plan for next week! Baby steps! Soon I will be able to kick into high gear!!

Wow! What super prizes!!

Well, I am back from my camping reunioun. First, the bad news. I ate some things I definitely should not have. Now the good news. I ate less than I would have had I not been doing this challenge. As far as exercise, we took a three mile hike Saturday and a two mile hike today! Hopefully that made up for all my extra eating!

Well I had a good day today, we went out to dinner (again) but I said no to blue cheese dressing and had oil and vinegar instead, and I said no to a baked potatoe and had steam veggies.
This evening I walked outside and went about a mile and a half, I walked for about 45 minutes.

geetey - one change at a time!! We didn't gain weight by eating everything at once and we'll lose the best by making small changes we can live with - that had to be motivating to see a loss on the scale! BTW we moved from St. Louis 2 years ago - loved it there!!

K&K'm Mommy - that's super about the hikes! What great weather for them too. And eating less than you would have prior to this challenge - awesome! Everything you turn down blesses your body. :cheer2:

Jen - Blueeyes101817 - I'm picking up my exercise this week too - I haven't done anything since Thursday so I'm getting back into it before another day passes :hourglass - what time do you want to work out?? BTW- how was the news from the scale? :rolleyes1

helenk - love your post you are so on track! That's great! You're motivating me to keep saying my no's and exercise tomorrow - thank you. :flower:

I saw a challenge chat planned for tomorrow night at 9 - I believe it's on the original thread, if anyone wants more info. Mike L seems to be coordinating it.

Keep it up and off everyone! :smooth: Our first weigh in is Tuesday night - post your weight loss in pounds here and I'll total them Wednesday morning.

Have a great day :grouphug: , keep saying "no" (for me it's those darn chips!) to the food and "yes" to the exercise/parking farther away/stairs. :teeth:

Well, from being motivated on here, i went and worked out in my basement tonight!! it was only for about 20 minutes, but i just got a new cardio cruiser and the lady i got it from says you gotta start out slow because it will kill your legs..so i did it for 20 minutes but it was something!!
My goal is going to be to work out as soon as i get home from work every day...so between 6-8pm..
I think starting tomorrow im really going to be exercising and eating alot better --i never get very far, but if im doing both, maybe i will!
ooo the news from the scale......it was one pound less than when i started--154 instead of 155--little victories!

Good Morning everyone, Happy Monday!
I am sitting at my desk at work and on the desk right behind me someone has placed some apple pound cake with caramel topping, I'm trying to stay strong but wow it looks good. I too took a sneak peak at the scale this morning, it is not moving as much as I had hoped but considering I have been gaining lately to see the weight go down is a good feeling.
I'm hoping to get out to Curves this afternoon as it has been weeks and weeks since I've gone.

Personally, I count house cleaning if I'm working up a sweat! Sometimes I go slow but usually I do it as fast as possible and am tired after because that way I can tell myself the house looks good and I got some benefit from it. Kind of strange but it helps me do it. :p

Helenk - here's what I do when I want some cake or possibly apple pound cake with caramel topping...picture the size that I would eat and then picture that same amount as a lump of lardy cellulite stuck on my thigh or rear. :rotfl: 9 times out of 10 I don't want it after that. For the 1 time of 10 it doesn't work I eat it, but just a half piece. Good luck avoiding that until it's eaten!

Hi Blue teammates! I just returned from a pretty traumatic weekend....taking my baby (youngest of four) and leaving him at school. He is now officially a freshman at Ohio State. It was hard leaving the house Saturday AM knowing that the next time he comes home (in only 3 weeks for my DDs wedding) it will be different. If you haven't had a child go away to college yet it is hard to explain, but once they leave that first time when they return it is changed. And not that that is a bad thing, this is what I have raised him for, to be an independent, caring, responsible man. But where have the years gone, it seems like yesterday he was this cute little guy with buzzed hair holding my hand while we walked into pre-school. Anyway.....with the two days of traveling my eating has been all over the place, and there's not a lot of opportunity to exercise when you've spent over 15hrs in the car in two days. Today however is the start of a new week. I took today off to recover, and I intend to focus on my goals. I hope that everyone is ready for a great week!

Hi everyone! :wave2: I posted on the official thread on the 15th and made it in prior to the deadline just under the wire! I am just now getting a chance to post on this thread and am thrilled to be on the blue team! Hope you guys don't mine one more teammate!

A little about me. I am 36, married for 14 years and have 2 kids. I am working on weekends as a nurse and I am going back to school full time during the week to become a teacher! I am sooo busy, and stressed. Bad combo as I see that I eat convenience foods and stress eat. This challenge came along just when I need it most! I have a lot to loose, over 100# and I have struggled with it, seems like forever! I am very excited to join the blue team and can't wait as we get going on our successes! :grouphug:

Hi all! :sunny:

I hope everyone had a good weekend. I went to our county fair on Saturday and didn't do to bad. Had a corn dog, deep fried avacado, and a frozen banana. I wanted to eat everything so I probably have about 10 no's to add to the list. ;) Took a 40 minute walk last night and am so excited to weigh in tomorrow! I know I lost something and I haven't been able to say that since June!

Oh and I made the mousse. It was wonderful!

WDWFAN9 - Your post brought tears to my eyes. I got traumatized with first grade this year so best of luck to you!

So far, I am back on track with the eating. I am hungry now so I need to go have a healthy snack. I find if I let myself get too hungry I eat way too much for a snack. My wonderful DH said he would watch the kids tonight so I could get back to the YMCA. There is a Monday night class I used to go to before pregnancy. Hopefully, I won't pass out!

Well I was able to pass up the cake yesterday, but I worked extra hours last night from 4:30 to 8:30 and they brought in pizza. I started to eat a slice and kinda of stopped myself, I thought Tuesday night is weigh in and your going to cheat on Monday, what are you crazy...so I threw it away, I had eaten just less than half. I had brought a South Beach meal in for my dinner so I ate that instead.
I did walk yesterday afternoon, instead of driving I walked from the office to the bank and back, it took a 1/2 hour and I was glad I got that in, because by the time I got home from work at 9:30 I was too tired to do anything.

Good morning everyone! Sorry I have been MIA for the last three days. I havent' been feeling well, but I am better today!

It looks like everyone is doing a wonderful job of saying no. I have managed a few no's myself. I still have to work on getting exercise in though. I do plan on exercising tonight when I get home from work, before I do anything else.

OK, I have a question. I did my official weigh in for this challenge at night last Tuesday. Should I continue to weigh at night for the rest of the challenge or should I count my weight this morning and start weighing myself in the mornings for the rest of the challenge? What is everyone else doing?

I hope everyone has a great day!

Get moving and keep saying no! :cheer2:

Hello everyone!!

Official weigh in is on Tuesday's, but I would say the most important thing is to weigh at a consistent day/time to get a better idea of your loss. So Christie, weighing in tonight will probably give you a truer loss number. Having said that, I'm weighing in the morning. ;)

Great job with exercise Team! we're up to 7 hours!

helen - kudos to you for throwing away the pizza - that's great!! :cheer2: as well as getting your walk in yesterday. You'll be seeing results soon!

Samantha - get up and get your exercise!! You need to get out there and walk today from 6 - 6:30. (Sorry I'm trying to be Jillian but I'm not too good at it  ) Christie will be joining you! :) When are you going to MNSSHP?

QuiltTeddy, LauraJean - awesome!! lol about the potatoes!! :rotfl:

K&K- WOW! You went out in that last night? It was nasty! I am very impressed! Great job!!

I lost 1.7 pounds this week - I'm amazed! Our team total right now is 8.1 pounds gone!!

We have had some great losses this week!! :cool1: I am so excited for everyone :Pinkbounc

I want to congratulate everone on a fantastic first week. We have been passing up cake and pizza. We have lost small sacks of potatoes from our bodies and we are starting to move! It's all about making good choices and moving our bodies. I couldn't think of a better group of people to be getting healthy with. :grouphug:

I want to thank Mike for motivating me this morning so I am dedicating my 2 mile WATP workout this morning to Mike and his cheesecake. ;) I actually set my alarm 15 minutes earlier last night, that is 4:45 am :scared1:, to get up and work out this morning. I did it!!! I also parked farther away in the parking lot for work this morning.

Time to get to get working. I will check in later. I hope everyone has a wonderful day!!

Put me down for a 2.4 lb loss!

I am checking in for the first time. I'm sorry I didn't check in before, but now I'm ready for some mini-challenges :).

I have about 20 lbs total to lose. The same 20 pounds I have been trying to lose for the last year after a sucessful loss of 20 pounds last spring. I'll be doing a low-carb thing. I lost my first 20 lbs on Atkins, but I have too many tomatoes and red peppers in my garden right now to do induction.

ETA: I just noticed my blue tag. Way cool!

WOW! We're at 35.5 pounds gone! :earseek: Excellent job everyone! We have 3 more team members to record (sap1227 won't be weighing in this week as she is on the Wonder right now! :earsgirl: ).

Mike seems to be motivating quite a few people to exercise...maybe he should be our fitness guru?? :rotfl:

I'm not sure where team total losses will be but I'll post once I see it...if someone else sees it first please let me know!

I posted my weight loss on the weigh-in thread. I'm down one pound. Not great, but I'll take it. Hopefully, I can continue losing at least one pound a week. It is really hard for me to lose weight. Do y'all want to kick me off the team? :guilty:

Absolutely not! One pound is awesome! It creeps up on you and it creeps off of you. Find something that weighs a pound (my favorite is 1# of butter) and be amazed that that much came off of you! I expect that just like on the show people will lose a lot the first and maybe second weeks and then it's going to taper off to 1 - 3 pounds/week. That is great news - it's nasty fat that's going away! So...you're still on the team don't even worry about it! Keep saying your no's to food and yesses to moving and it'll keep coming off and you'll be creating healthy habits at the same time!

Wow, everyone is doing a fantastic job! I am down 1#! I agree with Samantha that I'll take it, but I want more off!!!! Just glad to add to the team total.

Thanks to you guys, I got up this morning and exercised to a new DVD I bought, one of the crunch videos. I worked it and worked up a sweat! :cool1: I am off to the grocery store and I am saying NO to the cookies!

so, after we post our loss for the week, do we then go and start checking in on the week 2 thread?

Sheila - Congratulations!! One pound is an awesome loss. Like Jennifer said it didn't come on over night and it won't come off over night. Just keep doing what you are doing and you will get there. Remember slow and steady wins the race. :flower:

Princess Vija - Congratulations on the 1 pound loss and WTG on the exercise.

Go BLUE!!! :cheer2:

Hi Blue Team!!

Congrats on your great losses!! I should have known better than to try and tempt you all with cheesecake! I would love to be your work out guru too!!! I can be very "Jillian" if need be! (You'll have to have watched the show to know what that one means! She rocks!)

To make up for it, I have booked you all a weeks vacation at WDW with rooms in the Contemporary tower. I of course have added the meal plan and made you some wonderful ADRs at Chef Mickey's, Ohana's, Crystal Palace, etc. Enjoy the chocolate covered strawberries and welcome cakes I am having delivered to your rooms! ;)

hehe!
Mike :goodvibes
