okay I am not trying to be a troll, I don't think I am :confused3 'cause I really called this company (Cloud 9, creators of the Tribe) up by phone like 3,000 miles away because I didn't belive what I heard. And they were REALLY REALLY REALLY nice and they sent me a cutsie little poster :flower: and they says they is going to TRY to make it and even though its been delayed for 6 years. hopefully, they do make it because I would do lots to see it. :) but yes, there may and I hope that is a very likely may be a Mary Poppins sequel. I SWER I SWEAR!!

:cheer2: hip hip hooray!
here's some infor that I collected:

The main character is Sugar, which is the granddaughter of Mary Poppins
She is really wacky and a little bit crazy, not practically perfect everyone thinks she's really weird
Modern day - 2 children bro and sis I THINK not sure
setting Britain or Australia or New Zealand

To be filmed in New Zealand
Got delayed because Geri Halliwell refused to play the part of Sugar when she had big contracts and stuff.

here's my cutsie little poster:

I ain't making this up.

Anyone else think the people on that poster look like shadows of Disney characters? Wendy (peter pan), Anita (101 dalmations)?

It appears the poster is talking about a tv series rather then a feature film: 26 X 30 min episodes.

Or possibly a direct to vid series : Available January 2000.

I think the movie you are talking about is "Bedknobs and Broomsticks". Starring Angela Lansbury and David Tomlinson. It was animated and had live actors too.Like Mary Poppins, gooseberry.

I'm not buyin' it - first of all January 2000 - that's long gone. And yes, it looks like an outline of Wendy. Nice try.

In all honesty, having subscribed to Variety for a few years, the above picture looks very much like an ad they have during certain issues. There are all these awful, photo-shopped pics of lousy looking tv shows that will probably never get off the ground.

As a matter of fact, I just checked imdb and there was a miniseries called "Spoonful of Sugar" that was on the drawing board at one point for Australian tv, but the lack of any info on the page makes me think that the thing fell through. I'm sure it wouldn't have been any good anyway.

yeah cloud 9 was planning this show and the broadcasters never gave it the green light.
