need some booking tips for DW

Hello, I would like some tips for where a good place to stay would be whether it is in Disney or surrounding area. We are not going to have car so transit will need to be near by and preferebly cheap or free. As well to by all the passes to get into Disney what would anyone recomend to do. We love rides and really want to see Universal studio's. We would like to take in as much as we can. We are going the first week of December for either 6 or 7 days. What do any of you recomend? Oh ya my kid is 14.

I would suggest you stay at one of the All star resorts and use magical express to and from the airport. If you do want to go to Universal for a day take a cab. The offsite hotels either charge a bit for the shuttle service or some offer it free but it is all very slow!!!.
